The next Cleveland Indian
Great beard, steely determination, pictures of him doing gritty things. Wedge won't even care that he doesn't actually play baseball.

He’s already played for Randy Lerner at Aston Villa, so he may already know something about Cleveland.

with the way the Indians are playing, without this tournament this really would have been the worst summer ever.

Imagine watching it as an England supporter.
Proud supporter of the Cleveland.

As someone who isn’t an England supporter…I can say its been nice to follow it without all the crap you normally get in our media.
Oh…I love Olof the name and the look just remind you of a bygone viking era. I went to Stockholm where they have a replica viking ship and he would look awesome at the helm of it.

Its amazing actually that over here in soccer you get the same drooling over gritty white guys by the idiot media. I can be so incredibly limited but he will sell for a high price because he’s English (which is good) and he works really hard….much better than those lazy imports…even if they do have twice the skill…
Not sure what my point is…it just grinds my gears….so I can relate to the annoyance at grit obsession.
My all time favourite anti-grit comment on here is when the commentators comment on Darin Erstad’s grit as a result of his football career and its clarified he was a punter…i dunno why that gets me everytime….yes, i too am bored at work…

Yeah, I always find that hilarious. Football commentators and fans always make fun of kickers and punters for being weak (such as laughing at them if they ever try to make a tackle), yet baseball announcers constantly talk about Erstad’s toughness because he played football. I want to scream “he was a punter! If he was playing football you wouldn’t be saying this.”

The extra time in this Germany-Portugal match is good stuff. Go Orange.

Apparently he has a strange delivery . . . can’t use his hands. But still posts a better ERA & K/9 than ours.

Yeah, Tim Borowski…I giggle internally everytime he gets introduced….btw, forget Shap’s missus, a google images seach for Tim Borowski eventually brought to my attention that his lady is mighty fine.

If this recent tailspin has been good for anything, it’s nominations for new banners. I personally like “Your 2008 Cleveland Indians: More Beards!”
