I know a handful of Cincy fans (my brother being one) and they HATE Adam Dunn. They can’t wait to unload him.
It’s kind of strange and funny how some players never endear themselves to fans, despite what they might produce on the field.

Maybe its because they don’t really see what he’s producing. The art of taking walks is still a dismissed ability by the casual fan. they want batting avg. and not striking out. The fact that most power hitters also strike out alot escapes them.

Yeah. I had to laugh, but I don’t know what it means.

A loon is on the back of the 1 dollar Canadian coin. I guess that toonie refers to the two dollar coin. Is my inference correct, Mario?

I just want to say we call our money dollars Mr. Dunn. The coin is called a loonie, but it’s value is a dollar. (I.E. I would say “I need a dollar” not “I need a loonie”)

J.P. is a pimp. Or so we’ve been told.
Actually, he had a Q&A at our school once. I asked him about Phelps, and he told us that this guy was just not tough enough.

Says Riccardi:
“He’s a lifetime .230, .240 hitter that strikes out a ton and hits home runs. Do you know that the guy really doesn’t like baseball all that much?”
That dude is totally getting fired this season.

Riccardi also claims that Dunn kicks puppy dogs when they’re in his way on the sidewalk.

BAHAHA I never thought that I’d see this username here.
No clue why/if you’re defending JP here. If so, you’re a one in a million Jays fan.

If I had to bet on it even money, I’d bet he’s getting fired.

.230, .240 hitter? That’s pretty good. Tribe could use some of that.

As well as a guy who has hit more than 40 home runs each of the last four years and will most likely do so again this year.

This, my friends, is a man who somehow gained a reputation for being baseball-saavy just by virtue of working in Oakland. Their whole organization is a joke, starting with
Paul “Teen Wolf” Godfrey.

what actor does he look like? I can picture him (although younger), but his name and the movies he has been in escape me. Anyone…

Ricciardi seems to get a pass because he was one of the first “Moneyball” GM’s to get hired. The Blue Jays have a decent budget but have never been a legitimate threat to the Sox or Yankees during his tenure. To me, just because one is sabermetrically inclined does not make a successful general manager. Keith Law has been open about his decision to leave the Jays organization and it seems like it stemmed from a difference of opinion with JP.

Wasn’t it Riccardi who ripped Gil Meche for signing with KC?

Oh yeah, well, let me stump him!
Quick, Mario, what’s the capital of Saskatchewan?
