Tribe signs Graffanino, Juan Rincon to minor league deals
Please, please, please tell me this spells the end of the Jorge Velandia era. Is there anything Velandia can do better than Graffanino? On a baseball field, I mean.

I should add that Graffanino’s still working his way into shape after knee surgery.

We are really stepping up the grit factor with Carroll, Fasano and Graffanino now. Wedge will have a field day with that lineup

Is there any doubt that Brandon Inge and Nick Punto will be playing for Wedge one day?

Inge might be too good

Wait for him to get hurt a couple more times.

Punto already is. Screengrab of Wedge’s Yahoo Fantasy Baseball team reveals all:

No wonder he’s in last place in his league.

Speaking of Buffalo:
I don’t want to alarm anyone, but Tom Mastny is averaging 13.5 K/9IP over his last 8 appearnaces. STOP TEASING ME TOM! STOP IT! At least when Jensen goes down to Buffalo, he sucks. It’s very considerate of him.
Oh and not to be outdone, Stevens is sporting a 15.5 K/9IP since arriving in Buffalo in 7 appearances.

See Mastny is the kind of guy we should be trading after a strong stretch in AAA.

Not significant moves, obviously, but I was looking to see what the Indians would do to clear roster spots at Buffalo. They might call up Asdrubal, but I think they have one spot available (because of trading Aaron Herr) and/or they could send down de la Cruz (the infielder). I guess they would have to shift a pitcher to make room for Rincon. There’s no one on the 40-man likely to get a call up, so unless they decide to DFA someone to promote Stevens, my guess is they’ll send someone back to AA.

Graffanino not ready to play yet, will be working with Buffalo to start

If we bring up Rincon, our bullpen will absolutely demolish our national innocence.
