Ok, Mr. Sabean, see… Blake can play first base and Velandia is one hell of a 2b. Mind giving us Lincecum for the pair? I’m really hesitant to do this, as we might be getting robbed long-term.

Over/Under on Laffey pitches this inning: 10

So, does your avatar mean we should fire Wedge because he didn’t find a way to use Jason DuBois? Or because Jason DuBois should be the new manager?
no. I was going with yesterday’s avatar theme w/o getting rid of my old one.

Guys who have been a part of Indians deadline deals.

Astro now has a walk in two straight games, after walking to lead off the first today. And he tripled yesterday.
I sort of like it. It’s like watching the Bad News Bears movie every night.

The date on this Google Image Result for “sell sell sell” is hopefully not prophetic

So now this is “The Ohio Cup”?
Is it still the “Showdown for Ohio” as well?
Is there actually a cup?
Dandy Andy.
Nice job, Aaron.
The Indians logo is offensive. We should change our name to the groundballers. Or the DPs.
God we suck. We just f-ing suck. We’re down three and I feel like it’s a soccer score. It’s INSURMOUNTABLE. Fuck this team, damnit.
So what if Marte really does suck?

It’s 6.30am Monday morning, might go back to bed for another 30 minutes looking at this score, got to see Marte foul out

Bronson Arroyo. Bronson f-ing Arroyo.
It’s going to be really tough to get over these last two games.
Don’t forget about Zito.

With today’s certain loss, the Indians will be 13-12 when Marte plays, 8-8 when he starts.
Free Andy Marte!

Marte’s BA is asymptotically approaching .100, and Blake’s OPS is about to crack the .800 barrier.
Yep. SELL, SELL SELL

we may want to start rethinking this if we don’t want to score 100 runs total the rest of the sseason.

What could we get for Peralta?
He can’t hit and has no range. He’s perfect for someone other team’s coaching.
I did a Google image search for "Andy Marte." It turned up zero results.
If he has to be available tomorrow, that means the Tribe is getting pummeled again.

It finally occurred to me that Jordan Brown is only a platoon player—not a starter. The good news is that he’s ML ready right now.
But not long enough to get that pitch off the outside corner.

Andy, is that your bat or are you just glad to be getting an at-bat?

We just finisahed llosing the season series to the Cincinnati freakin’ Reds 5-1. Oh, we’re broken. We’re really, really broken. Shattered, destroyed, demolished, wiped out, pulverized.

Today was even worse than the Zito loss. Arroyo just threw breaking stuff knowing that most of our young guys can’t hit it.
I seem to remember that being the book on the Tribe last offseason, per John Farrell. Throw breaking stuff, as the only guy that could hit it was Blake (?!).
Looks like I missed another great one. And a very happy birthday to Brick.
Hope the loss doesn’t ruin your special day.
oooh damn i saw that on facebook but forgot. so, happy birthday brick.

This post should probably be a fan shot, but I’m not sure it’s even amusing enough to enough people here to deserve that status. It at least gave me a dark little laugh, so I figured I’d share …
While doing some weekend store orders a few moments ago, I came across this email announcement from one of our suppliers:

Please be advised effective immediately the following title will be cut out, and will no longer be available.

2008: let the hate flow through you.
9 1/2 behind the White Sox, 8 behind the Twins, what is it, 5 behind Detroit? If C.C makes one more start for this team, then it borders on irresponsible management. More than the Marte situation, more than the off-season inactivity, etc. It’s not possible to have Sabathia’s value (or Blake’s for that matter) higher than it is right now. Posture all you want the next couple of days before his next start about signing him long term if you have to…. but he better be a Brewer or a Ray or a Dodger by Wednesday morning.
If he is traded to the Rays before the All-Star break, he would be pitching against the Indians at Progressive Field in the last series before the ASG.
Even if there was a possble trade with TB that made sense for Shapiro, I don’t think this scenario is going to happen.
All in all, a trade is more likely to be announced after the All-Star break.
Been meaning to ask this for a while, you the guy on the left or the right?

If CC pitched against us at the Prog, I would assuredly be there. I’ve never took a sign to a game, but the possibilities would be endless.
The 2008 Cleveland Indians: Home of the Triple Steal, Unassisted Triple Play, and not a heck of a lot more.
So Sabathia’s scheduled to start Wednesday. Getting a deal done before that start definitely makes the most sense. My question is this:
Where do you look for frequent updates or any hint of information about what the FO might be doing? Or are we forced to sit around and wait and then analyze it after the dust settles.
Waiting is the hardest part.
