Hope Gootz has another good day, that bottom of the lineup is brutally bad.

Blah, I’ve got no visuals, today. Extra Innings has blacked out the game because of the Fox broadcast, but Denver Fox affiliate is showing the Cubs.

But the Dayton affiliate has the Indians! YAY FOX. I knew there would be a use for getting both Dayton and Cinci stations someday.

I used to get the Lima and Dayton feeds of FSN Ohio and the Toledo feed of FSN Detroit. I’d wake up and ask myself if I felt like the Indians, Reds, or Tigers. Or the Cubs on WGN or the Braves on TBS or…
I miss cable. :(

So we gonna talk baseball today or turn this into a quilting bee last yesterday?

DP for Francisco. Pretty well hit, but right to the 3b glove side.

I’m not sure it was that well hit.

Stuck with the Cubs on FOX tonight. Plus my kid sister’s over visiting. She doesn’t care if I’m on the net while she’s here (She’s reading manga right now), but she wants to listen to the Cubs game when it’s on TV. So I shan’t be participating this afternoon. You guys have fun. Or, uh. Not. As the case may be.

Bobby Seay is absolutely boring. He’s a terrible lineup announcer
Any my LGT screen is flashing like I have epilepsy.
by gahnki on Jun 7, 2008 4:06 PM EDT 0 recs
You’re a little mixed up there gahnk – the flasing screens supposed to give some epileptics seizures. I think that’s what you’re talking about. Now back to baseball – or baseball as we know it in Cleveland any way.

Your job is to be the groundball master that Westbrook was. Good luck.

Not Slocum—he just got bumped the the pen to limit his innings after two injury shortened seasons. He’s not gonna be a starting candidate until late in the season, if at all this year.

Huff would have to be added to the 40-man, of course, and you’re starting the clock on him a year earlier than you’d like. I’d say they’ll wait until they know whether there’s any point to that. If they’re not closing the gap within a month or so, what’s the point in using Huff?

Hammy incredulous that Marte has no RBIs, while playing once every ten days, and being lifted in every high-leverage situation.
by JesseAK on Jun 7, 2008 4:25 PM EDT 0 recs
That’s no excuse .. plenty of other players receiving sporadic playtime have produced RBI’s.

That would be Runs, not RBI. RBI mostly situational stat dependent on the OBP of players ahead of you in the lineup.

Yeah yer both right. Maybe they should just drop runs as a stat all together and just compare OPS at the end of the game to see who wins.
