July 2008 Indians schedule wallpaper
It's that time again. This month's calendar will help you count down the days until the Tribe officially raises the white flag and ships C.C. Sabathia (and Paul Byrd, if someone's really desperate) to the highest bidder. Exciting times to be an Indians fan.
You'll notice that the July 19th game in Seattle isn't televised. That's due to Fox's national blackout on Saturday afternoon and their lack of interest in televising a game between the teams with the two worst records in the league.
Also, four non-All Star Break days off scheduled. Including the ASB, that's seven days off this month. I can't remember the Indians ever having a month with less scheduled games.

with all those off days, maybe we can send Sowers back to Buffalo? Hell, Carmona could be back by the time we need a fifth starter at the end of July. (Of course, if Byrd and Sabathia get moved this changes.)
Does anyone really think Sowers needs more time in Buffalo? What he needs to do is bear down and figure out how to make this work in the majors. It’s a very small silver lining to this trainwreck of a season that we can afford to let him do just that for another 18 starts. (If it didn’t sting, how would you know it was working?)
That’s 7 days this month the team can’t lose!
