Fausto’s line per Gameday data: 4.0 IP, 2B, 3 SO, 0 BB, 0 R, 19 pitches to 13 batters, 19 strikes, 0 balls. Ten batters swung at the first pitch and three struck out on a total of nine pitches.

wait, is this serious – 19 strikes, ZERO balls?
Jeeeeeez

You have no idea the physical toll that three vasectomies have on a person

He faced 13 batters. Ten swung at the first pitch – five groundouts, four fly outs and a double. The remaining three struck out on three pitches each, according to Gameday.

From the looks of the pics, the batters were fighting shadows. That’s just not even fair for these kids, first rehab start or not. I’ll take it, don’t get me wrong.

There’s clearly a huge bug in the Gameday XML data, which show every batter in last night’s Kinston game putting the ball in play on a 0-0 count. So all we really know is that Carmona allowed the one hit and struck out three on swinging strikes.

is it just the pants or does he look bigger?

FAUSTO’S TEETH DID NOTHING WRONG!

Yeah. He looks chubby in profile but it’s the uniform.

It sort of looks like he threw a pitch so hard it ripped open the screen. And there’s a halo.

A pitch that was just a bit outside. Which he didn’t do last night, not even once.

With the general shadiness of our club this year with respect to injuries, I was always afraid that Fausto’s might be worse than advertised and that he might never be the same again.

My personal mood meter went up like 5 points with this.

There’s the alternative argument, which is that it wasn’t that bad, but once things started to tank the Indians said the heck with it and held him out for a few more weeks. Or, I guess, they could be telling the truth.

I’m really looking forward to that X-Files movie.
