Would’ve been damn cool if they had used the Indians cursive font for this name.

It’s the same script Matt Walker used for the Pitcch In Foundation, and in the same general vein he used for other similar logos, such as Nick Swisher and Rick Ankiel.
Also from his official website. I remember thinking it looked pretty “West Coast” when he sent out his public letter this off season.
His web designer must not have gotten the memo (check the title tag)..CC!

Hmmm...
Interesting. Im from Miami, and Jason Taylor did the same thing in the Miami Herald the week he was traded. Last week in fact.
I’m looking forward to Casey Blake’s full page ad. I believe it’s going to be a giant picture of his beard and it will say “I’ll be back.”
don’t fall for c.c.’s manipulative games. he knows fans eat this kind of thing up. he’s just trying to make sure he doesn’t get booed when he comes back to pitch against the indians after he left for the money. our only leverage against players leaving for the money is threatening “The Jim Thome Treatment.” c.c. knows if he can remove that fromt the equation he can live the rest of his life guilt-free.
Boo.

you guys take this stuff too seriously. “our only leverage”. i thought this read as pretty blatant satire.
Satire or sarcasm on the internet is kinda hard to pull off sometimes. Maybe people just think of you as a sourpuss?

also, of note from the PD article (my bold):
another of Jacobson’s clients, bought an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle, thanking fans and the city of Oakland, Calif., when he was signed as a free agent by the Giants before the 2007 season.)
It could very well be that Kathy Jacobson is good at her job.
You know Selig? Ombudsman.
crap, a last-minute edit cut the beginning of the quote:
But such public displays of affection from players are rare (although Barry Zito, another of Jacobson’s clients, bought an ad in the San Francisco Chronicle, thanking fans and the city of Oakland, Calif., when he was signed as a free agent by the Giants before the 2007 season.)
You know Selig? Ombudsman.
Why would we boo him? He was traded? Sure he didn’t take an extension, but he’s got a chance to be the highest paid pitcher ever.
The guy was the best pitcher the Indians have had in a long time. Anyone that boos him is just dumb. He played his ass off here and he’ll play with that intensity where ever he goes.
No reason. I’m just fond of the idea of a professional baseball player harboring a grudge against community blog.
I want to MATTER, Andrew.

CC: “Thank you Cleveland for drastically underpaying me for the last few years of my contract. Now it’s time to make some real money.”.
