Dennis Nosco
Let me start by saying I have no idea who this guy is other than some posts he's made here and his articles on the clevelandfan.com. So perhaps someone can inform me about him.
I just felt the need to ask if I'm the only one who is annoyed by this guy. The first time I read anything he wrote was during the draft, when he was absolutely ripping the Tribe and all their picks. After that I saw an article by him with ridiculous trade scenario's between the Indians and Brewers about who we should get for Sabathia (LaPorta and Gallardo/Parra ... even one that would give us Ryan Braun). And now there's another article up on the clevelandfan.com where he's downgrading LaPorta to some one tool guy and the other players we received are comeplete filler.
Maybe I'm disrespectful towards some highly respected beatwriter or legendary internet poster, but it struck me as odd that these articles found their way to what seems to be a pretty thorough Indians site (clevelandfan.com), while it would be better suited for mlb.com's indians message board.
Does anyone else feel the same or am I out of line here?

He’s Anne Coulter. His whole purpose is to annoy you so you get infuriated and keep reading him to find out what outrageous thing he says next.
In short, he doesn’t deserve attention.
Except people know who Anne Coulter is. Complete hack.

Careful my friend Raab’s got the hots for ol’ Annie. Can’t say I blame him.
Resident LGT beer kinda sewer
Anyone see Raab’s piece on the mayor of Newark in last month’s Esquire?
Absolutely fascinating.

He seems to primarily speak for the Dolan is cheap, Shapiro is terrible, wish we had Coco Crisp back, Andy Marte is horrible, should have signed Manny Ramirez and Jim Thome no matter what the cost, cleveland.com posting, Kevin Keane and Kenny Roda calling Indians fan.
He just panders to the crowd. It’s a big crowd in Cleveland.

/Sigh … I hate that I’m turning into the Cleveland talk radio expert. But I should point out that Roda has been adamant that we need to start Marte the rest of the season to better evaluate what we have and what we need to do with him in the offseason. It’s everyone else at that station that thinks he should be DFA’d yesterday.
He was also the first person I heard who actually had a Milwaukee guy on the show to ask about some of these prospects almost a week ago.
Otherwise, he’s still bad compared to what we want. But to his peers he’s awfully reasonable.

It’s nice that someone taking calls from the wacked out cleveland.com 90s team worshipping Dolan is cheap crowd can actually reply with some sense on a couple issues.

Nosco has been around a long time on various Indians message boards. Always the same story: BA is gospel, the front office is made up of clueless, shortsighted incompetents, and the sky is falling.
To me he is the web equivalent of Roger Brown. Entertaining if read with a certain ironic detachment, but not somebody whose opinion I pay attention to.
Nosco
Fellas, let me first start out by saying that I love Lets Go Tribe. The site has been linked on my front page and Indians page from day one.
Saw this post, and I just wanted to stop in and apologize for the arrogant tone of Dennis’s columns I ran these last couple days. Ultimately, the responsibility lies with me, as I decide what goes up and when. I should have edited the pieces better, or not even run them, especially the one that laid out unrealistic expectations from the FO out of this trade. Once its up, Im not the type to pull something down. Its up, its up. Im not gonna hide from a poor decision I may have made on my end.
I have no problem with Dennis’s stance. It’s reasonable to think they could have potentially done better here, I can see that, even if I don’t agree with it. And I like to run differing viewpoints on the same topic. It was the arrogance of the piece that rubbed me the wrong way, as that is not I want the site to be about. He started writing just draft stuff for us, and it’s slowly evolved to where he does a piece or two a month for us on other topics. I told him to take a little vaca from writing. Dude just gets so worked up. And the tone of his pieces, in my mind, by attrition, did reflect poorly on our other writers, guys like Paulie C. I told Dennis all the same things myself, so I have no problem sharing it here.
Keep up the great work with the site, I am a daily reader.
There’s no need to apologize. In fact, I’d feel bad if I gave you the feeling that Nosco’s articles brought down the site in any way. It’s just something I’ve noticed, and it shows how good your site is that Nosco’s writing felt out of place.
Thanks for sharing, since it’s rather personal. Keep up the great work.
Welcome, Rich — and thanks for the kind words. I hate beating up on any fellow internet-based Indians writer, but I have to admit that it was getting hard to stay quiet about Nosco. I’m glad you came here to answer the criticisms directly. Now that you’re registered, I hope you’ll succumb to the temptation to jump into some discussions. Paul can tell you, all the cool Indians bloggers hang out here, and many of the uncool ones, too.
