Around SBN: Can Tebow Say No To Anything?

Not that we're at all surprised, but sometimes it's just fun to hear them say it. From Hank Steinbrenner:

"We're going to win it next year," he said. "If we need to add a top veteran pitcher, we'll do that. We'll do whatever we need to do. Next year we'll be extremely dangerous."

Extremely Dangerous?

Andy Marte is free at last! Now, if only he could hit a breaking ball...

More from Hank:

“Wang won 19 games two straight years. Chamberlain became the most dominating pitcher in baseball. You can’t lose two guys like that.”

The most dominating pitcher in baseball.

i threw up a little in my mouth when i saw that

after reading this article, i like the “new look” AL east even more. here’s hoping that the insolent youth of the rays and bjays’ ridiculously awesome rotation and bullpen keep roughing up the big boys for years to come.

Perhaps they’d like to add Josh Barfield to their collection of recycled Indians’ infielders? His dad was good player for them, after all.

The NY ability to believe their own hype never ceases to amaze me.

I’d venture one Mariano Rivera this year has been the most dominating pitcher on Justin’s own team.

Does it trouble anyone else that the head actually looks like it fits?

Proud supporter of the Cleveland.

no…but I think it troubles me that you think the head actually fits. do you think most people on the street have exceptionally small heads given their body size?

by APV on Aug 13, 2008 3:35 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Their bodies have outgrown their heads.

I’m sorry, I meant more the facial expression. Sort of a pouting disdain.

Proud supporter of the Cleveland.

I’m pretty sure the Yankees who aren’t on the DL are still being paid $160 million this year.

So they can’t compete with the highest payroll in baseball. What a shame.
