I assume this also means Scott Lewis gets a well-deserved call up to Buffalo

Good. I’m glad they decided to keep Laffey’s service time down. We won’t be seeing him up here until mid September.

Take ballroom dancing lessons?
Brush up on his Spanish?
Build a tree fort in the backyard?
Work on his facebook profile?
Read one of those books he’s been meaning to read when he’s had the time?
Andy Marte is free at last! Now, if only he could hit a breaking ball...

It might not be quite the 15th, but that’s not the point.
The point is, I don’t care what he does long as it doesn’t involve getting hurt, arrested or MLB service time.

Well, it’s certainly better than Halama or Weaver.

Here at LGT, we ask, “Why not?”

I’m glad these “show me what you got” starts have come against bad teams. Someday Reyes and Jackson will have to face someone unlike the Jays and Orioles, but not yet. More Bad Bird teams, please.

The Jays aren’t that bad. They just can’t hit. The Orioles can’t pitch (but they’re also bad).

True, and the Jays are dangerously close to passing the Yanks in the standings. Ability to hit, however, is the only thing that matters when trying to ease reclamation projects back into the rotation. Looks like Reyes and Jackson are likely to come up next against the Royals in the titanic Battle For Fourth.

I like this post.
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

I’m actually looking forward to this start. But good gravy what a miserable beard. Jack, buddy, let it grow.

That’s what happens when you trade Blake. The mentoring in hersuteness goes right out the window.

that’’s the first thing I noticed too. for a long time I had a facial hair style I referred to as “the drunken conquistador”. this looks more like “the happy evil carny”.
