I wonder how Grady will react when his time for the REALLY big payday comes. I get the feeling he’s not going to sign up with Boras and look for A-Rod money. But will continued monstrous success will change him?

If you need me, I'll be senselessly rooting for Sizemore 40/40 for the remainder of 2008.

I am still chuckling at this…

Slightly OT: Nice to see Jimmy “The Toy Cannon” Wynn and Cesar Cedeño on this list. Both of the these players put in many years with bad Astro teams in a dome that was a horrendous place to produce good non-adjusted offensive stats.

Fred Lynn is kind of a scary comp because of the injuries. Still, because he has no historyof injuries, I like Grady’s chances to produce at the highest level for years and years to come.

Cedeno is one of my all-time favorites. Leo Durocher, of course, said CC was one of the three best players he had seen (Willie Mays and Pete Reiser were the others).

The 30/30 thing made me look up Joe Carter. I had forgotten about his speed (as have most fans, I suspect).
He very nearly went 30/30 for three straight years!

Is that the same as hitting third – twice?
