Seven players from the Indians’ organization will participate in the Arizona Fall League and play for the Surprise Rafters. Thus far, six have been announced They are: 3B Wes Hodges, INF Beau Mills, INF Josh Rodriguez, LHP Chuck Lofgren, LHP Tony Sipp and RHP Erik Stiller. Lake County pitching coach Ruben Niebla will be a coach for Surprise.
Tony Lastoria speculates that Adam Miller might be the seventh player announced, as part of his rehab from surgery.
Despite all of my best intentions, I have not, in fact, grown up to be a debaser.
What’s interesting is that previously Michael Brantley’s agent confirmed that Brantley was going to the AFL, but now that the rosters have been released, he’s nowhere to be seen. Speculate away.
BCB's "very own marginally deserving all-star!"
Kusnick said Brantley is still going, but didn’t explain.

Perhaps that’s why the 7th player going to the AFL remains a mystery to this point – it could be Miller, Wagner, or Brantley, depending on whether we acquire Brantley and whether the Indians feel Miller is ready to throw some innings as soon as October or if they prefer him to rest a little more and throw in Winter Ball, which I think is later than October (November to January, I think – something like that).
Just my 2 cents.
The "cream of the crop" doesn't always rise to the top.
Well I found this tidbit from a recent Hoynes article:
If any of the four players the Indians and Brewers agreed upon continues to play past their minor-league seasons — maybe the Brewers call one of them up for the stretch run, or they go to Arizona Instructional League or Fall League — the Indians could continue scouting them.
So if Brantley goes to the AFL, he can still go with the Brewers and can still be the PTBNL in the CC trade.
He also says:
They may also make the decision as soon as today.
Outfielder Michael Brantley and third baseman Taylor Green are two of the four players.
