probably not, but it sure looked like Sal was giving Choo an english lesson in the dugout.
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

Marte has an eight-game hitting streak over which he is hitting .346/.346/.500 (plus whatever he did today).

I’d like to see Seattle acquire reliever Fabio Castro, so they can have Castro take over from Batista late in games…

I think the team got mad with all the people talking about playoff possibilities after the streak, and decided to teach them a lesson.

Did you catch the bit about how it should have been a no-hitter?

I guess Milwaukee’s filing an appeal to get the hit turned into an error

The league office shouldn’t be able to award a no-hitter after the fact. A number of no-hitters have been tainted by scorers changing a decision as the game progressed, but I’m not aware of an ex post facto no-hitter. For one thing, CC never had to take the mound in the 9th inning with a no-hitter on the line. This is a critical component of the feat.

You can watch it on MLB.com. To me, there’s no way you can call that an error.

Probably should have been ruled an error, nothing too challenging about the play, CC took his eye off the ball

I think if he picked up the ball cleanly and threw a strike to first base he could have had the out. It would have been a tough play, but definitely doable. Seems like one of those judgement, on-the-field error calls…which would be pretty sketchy to overturn after the fact.

ERROR. But it was on CC, so that makes it hard to overturn.

Going to see three games this weekend and I am 0-2 so far. To the MARINERS for crissakes.
What in the name of God was Victor doing swinging at pitches 1 and 2 from a guy who just walked the last two batters straight? That was probably the least of our problems today, but it was definitely one of the most glaring.
I sure hope the offense brings their A game tomorrow. I really wanna see #20. Especially after these last two cock-ups.
