Should the Sox sign Borowski, he would be eligible to pitch in the postseason even if he does not appear in the big leagues until after Sept. 1.
that’s not how it works, is it? borowski would be elligible via that DL thing, same as any other player on the 40. no different than any other player not on the active 25 on Aug 31. no? his time with indians is irrelavent if i’m not mistaken.
Right, he’d have to be subbing for another pitcher who was on the 25-man or 15-day as of August 31.

Maybe, in the World Series, Manny will get to tee off on him in the 9th inning again. Except this time I won’t be all depressed after watching it.
