Weird, weird turn of events. Despite recent struggles, the Brewers are still very much in the playoff hunt, tied with the Phillies with both clubs just one game behind the Mets. The three clubs are fighting for two spots, and the Brewers still have a 48% chance of making it (per Prospectus). So what the hell is going on here? How could this possibly be a good move in the last 14 days of a playoff drive? Seems like there's something we don't know going on here. The Brewers are 34-27 dating back to Sabathia's first start for them on July 8, but they're only 22-26 in games not started by him.
