Hopefully he can stay healthy enough to make a contribution

I think there’s a chance we’ve over-estimated Miller’s injuries all along. There’s no evidence that they’re related more than tangentially, and he hasn’t needed surgery except for the finger, no? It’s bad luck, but either because of blind optimism or ignorance or whatever, it just doesn’t strike me as the kind of stuff that actually diminishes his potential (other than the production we’ve lose, which I ought not to discount).

I’ll second that. And he might prove to be a real difference maker in the bullpen.

I’d still rather see him succeed as a starter, but I think the bullpen is a good way for him to increase his workload and ease into the majors. Although, this is dependent on Wedge actually making a commitment to play him more than once every two weeks….
“Okay, don’t freak out, Adam, but we’re arranging with MLB to have you listed as Adán Molina. It’s only until Eric figures out you can pitch. Just do your thing.”

Of course you’re right fleerdon – Miller’s injuries do not either related or career threatening. But – but, other than knowing that his injuries have limited his appearances I don’t know much at all about his injuries. Given the Indians previous veracity record I’m more than a little concerned. Again to me Miller’s starting to look an awful lot like Paul Shuey.
