I was going to make a sarcastic comment about Ross Gload being the Royals’ LF. Then I realized David Dellucci is our DH…
apparently they have multiple flavors of hawaiian punch now.

per Orioles.com
“I think you always make evaluations based on performance first,” said Trembley. “Not everybody here is a milkshake drinker. They’re not all guys that you’d want to bring home and introduce to your daughters. You understand that, but performance is the bottom line. I didn’t see Fernando Cabrera fitting in on this club for next year. I think we can do better.”

Just got in. Two comments:
1) Jamey Carroll at third base again? Bloody hell.
2) My wife and I were listening to the game in the car. When Garko came up with the bases loaded, I said to my wife, “Garko will hit into a double play here. The only question is whether the first out will be at home plate so that the run doesn’t score, or whether a run scores.”
Andy Marte is free at last! Now, if only he got to bat with men on base...

Our next opponent the Orioles can’t win on or off the field.
They moved their Sunday game to Saturday (first game of D/N DH) to avoid going up against their neighbor the Ravens.
Now Hannah is expected to come through Baltimore Saturday. Both games could end up on Sunday. Baltimore expected to receive 3-5 inches of rain Saturday.
Forecast for 1st game
Mostly cloudy with a 100-percent chance of rain. Winds blowing in from right field at 10-20 m.p.h. Game Time temperature: Around 75.
I’m on the road this weekend and w/o EI. Still no word on Reyes?

I agree. MLB.com seems to be the best.
Best being pretty relative.

Thanks. The unnecessary camera angles kind of throw me off, but I’ll try to stick with it and see if it’s faster than Yahoo.

Anthony Reyes left tonight’s start after three innings with right elbow soreness.
Reyes was on the DL with the Cardinals from June 16 to July 5 with a strained elbow.

random fact
In his first four Major League starts, he faced former Cy Young Award winners: Randy Johnson, Tom Glavine and Roy Halladay twice. This made Loewen the first pitcher in Major League Baseball history to face Cy Young winners in his first four starts

So the plan was to be here for the entire thread. I turned on the TV at 8 o’clock and then passed out. Apparently my room-mate tried to talk to me around 9 and said I was acting like I was on crystal meth. The TV had changed its channel, on its own, as far as I can tell. The only possible explanation: I was abducted by aliens.

They named the 3 Royals due up, all with foreign last names (and the K-whatever dude). I forget who was who, but it went like this:
Guy 1: Due up [names three players]
Guy 2: Whatever happened to Johnson, Smith, and Jackson?
Guy 1: It’s September!
Guy 2: You can tell.

Lets Go Morrow, Lets Go….
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.
from Indians.com
If Reyes’ injury is serious, the Indians’ backup options for starters are slim. The club had considered calling up left-hander Aaron Laffey in September and going with a six-man rotation, but instead opted to shut Laffey down because of left elbow soreness.
Are we literally out of starters now?
You would think Brian Bullington is available, unless he already started his offseason job at the bowling alley.
