It is. It was basically saying the move was made because of Cabrera’s performance, not because of the fact that Cabrera showed Trembley disrespect by flipping the ball at him when he took him out of a game.

Still, it’s less fun now that I know what it meant. That quote is awesome.

2) My wife and I were listening to the game in the car. When Garko came up with the bases loaded, I said to my wife, “Garko will hit into a double play here. The only question is whether the first out will be at home plate so that the run doesn’t score, or whether a run scores.”

Our next opponent the Orioles can’t win on or off the field.

They moved their Sunday game to Saturday (first game of D/N DH) to avoid going up against their neighbor the Ravens.

Now Hannah is expected to come through Baltimore Saturday. Both games could end up on Sunday. Baltimore expected to receive 3-5 inches of rain Saturday.

They named the 3 Royals due up, all with foreign last names (and the K-whatever dude). I forget who was who, but it went like this:

Guy 1: Due up [names three players]
Guy 2: Whatever happened to Johnson, Smith, and Jackson?
Guy 1: It’s September!
Guy 2: You can tell.
