He’s listed as Michael Hall over at baseball ref, and here’s the link to his numbers. Hey he’s only 23 yrs old in AA, I expected worse.
in fact, as a 22 yr old in high A, he was pretty dominant to a tune of a .960 OPS over 266 ABs. Some power and he’s a LHB. He split time between RF and CF in AA last year, and mostly CF in A+ the year before….. This seems like not a bad prospect for an after thought in the Paul Byrd salary dump.
I didn’t expect any player – I thought just not having to pay Byrd’s salary for the rest of the season (and using the money to sign some more draft picks) was all that the Indians would get
i expected byrd to be the ptbnl… oh well.

thebaseballcube says that while he went to high school in Georgia, he was born in Garfield Heights, OH.
We essentially traded the ~50th pick in the 2009 draft for the 54th pick in the 2003 draft, plus $2 million.
Big spike in walk rate toward the end of the season. Seems like they managed to get a guy who is probably worthless rather than definitely worthless.
