Spawn of Dybzinski, Fosse, Heidemann and Brohamer

Edit: Funny the Reflecting the Cliff Lee trade mentioned the Justice trails, etc. I had just completed the following update earlier today.

Normally I only do this post once per season, but with the plethora of trades this summer, I thought I’d provide an update. And I think I'll start posting at the end of the season now instead for this very reason and that the rosters are much more stable since nobody is moving around (duh).

I have included compensation draft picks as being more than one degree as the Indians obtained that pick based on a player they formally held rights to. Also, when I have identified a free agent year, it is the year they signed for (i.e. December 05 would be 2006). Additionally, whenever I could not find confirmation of an amateur free agent signing, the year defaults to their first appearance. [Notes: aFA = amateur free agent, mFA = minor league free agent]

Seeing these posts remind me of sitting up at the trade deadline in the 90’s waiting to see if we’d grab the big name we were courting. I remember watching ESPN all day on July 31st, 1998 only to see Randy Johnson go to the Astros. Anyways, I digress. Love the post!

Under Sizemore details, any reason why Lee is not named in the trade for Colon? But I enjoy this whole thing.

In the new Geico commercial, Marte sings "Let me be myself" on Wedge's front lawn (with the cavemen).

oops, meant to sub Lee in for Sizemore in that chain. Thanks for the catch!
