Reposting this today because @FB_Outsiders twitter alerted me to 50% sale by entering the code "2004" for their 5-year anniversary.

Editing to add that I stand nothing to benefit from this, as I don't want it to appear as that I'm spamming for my own good.

Who really has prideful nostalgia for the late ’90s, when the Indians were super-trendy? Anyone who visited Cleveland could wear this shirt.

You want some real Cleveland sports pride? Wear a shirt that says I MISS THE OLD URINAL TROUGHS.

Ah yes, I once got lost in there at the age of 6. Dad stopped to watch a homerun, I kept on walking. One minute later, all alone. 30 minutes later I had found my seat and waited for my dad to come back. He was both relieved and angry. Ah, the memories.

Shirt should read “I STILL CALL IT THE JAKE…” on the front with “…WHERE A MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE THERE DIDN’T KNOW WHAT THE BIG YELLOW POLES WERE” on the back.

Also good.

I have one of those Urinal Trough t-shirts. I got it at Pirate’s Cove.

Well, I was mistaken. My t-shirt says: I MISS THE OLD URINALS, THOUGH

I didn’t even know there was a T-shirt about this, I was just making it up.

That version is pretty good.

You’re so gullible.

by odradek on Oct 3, 2009 2:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m guilty only of believing that someone was cool enough to sell that T-shirt.

by Jay on Oct 3, 2009 3:41 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Or any t-shirt with the word urinal on it.

“I still call it ‘The Jake’ … despite the fact that I was, like, ten when it opened, and also despite the fact that I really only referred to it as ‘The Ballpark’ when I still lived in the Cleveland area — where, at least in my part of town, calling it ‘The Jake’ immediately marked you as a know-nothing fan, if not as a complete outsider.”

Yeah, maybe T-shirt design isn’t my calling.

You’d need at least an XXL for that.

“But, let’s face it – I dislike the grim inevitability of selling naming rights to corporations, or the game’s saturation with sponsorship as is – ‘Bud Light Bleachers?’ – even if these added profits might contribute to improved FA signings or amateur draft over-slotting”

by joeee on Oct 4, 2009 10:01 PM EDT up reply actions   1 recs

Nice. That can go on the back.

Save room for “Bud’s House of Parity”.
