Wedge leftovers would be eye-opening to Acta.
An article writen by Jim Ingraham that was in the News-Herald today that I thought was both comical and truthful to a point.

Attboy Jim, I knew you could write something worth reading.

Yes, there are some funny nuggets in here that made it entertaining. I will admit that the bar is set pretty low for all local MSM not named Pluto… If Ingraham saw that Wedge’s lineup construction was getting more and more bizarre, I wonder what real baseball people were thinking?
Move Carroll from left field to right field, so Garko can start in left.
See if LaPorta is in the clubhouse. Don’t play him. Just see if he’s here.
Ask Gimenez if he’s ever pitched
Tell Marte I’m thinking of using him some at first base, on days Garko is in left field and DeRosa has to play right in place of Carroll because he needs to play second for Cabrera, who needs a day off

See, to me this smacks of lazy, apathetic journalism. There’s nothing here that suggests Ingraham has any more writing ability than the average sardonic teenager.

I’ll inform the Pulitzer committee to stay away.

Good. I was very concerned about that and unable to contact them.

I used to like Jim Ingraham when I was younger (my family got The Morning Journal on weekends) but then a few years ago he wrote an ignorant article bashing VORP and other new stats and I lost all respect for him.

My favorite all time of his was when he wrote in ST one year that Coco’s improvement in OBP (.380 at the time) was very encouraging while neglecting to mention that he was hitting like .350 at the time…

It’s quite absurd how frequently yahoo player pages link to Ingraham’s work. Painful actually.
