Not sure where the White Sox are going with this…Teahen in RF? As an Indians fan, I like it.

Teahen is better than Getz and Fields though.

But freely available talent on the free agent market is as good as Teahen if you’re going to use him in RF. Unless Teahen is going to 3B and Beckham is going to play 2B.

Well, wouldn’t Pittsburg and Tampa be the first trade this offseason? Speaking of which how can they have made that trade during the WS?

Came to the agreement, but didn’t “officially sign” the paper work…?

All right, relevant trades to the Indians.

Given the paucity of prospects in the Royals system I wonder if they would consider trading Greinke? Highly unlikely, yes, but untouchable? It could be an interesting winter this year.

Well, obviously, you can’t trade him if he’s just won the Cy Young. Everyone knows that.

Teahen hit .271 with 12 homers and 50 RBI for the Royals in ’09, but in 77 games lifetime against the White Sox he has batted .277 with 12 homers and 41 RBI, which may explain why they wanted him on their side.
New strategy: Acquire every player who has a lifetime batting average of .277 or higher against us.

The great thing is that now that Teahen won’t be able to feast on White Sox pitching, he’s going to suck even more!
Want out of Cleveland? Easy - mess with LeBron's entourage.

Hey, he OPS’d 1.17 against the Yankees last year (not many PA’s though). Maybe that’s why the Sox acquired him!

The “but” in this sentence implies more than a .006 difference in batting average.

I actually like this move for the Royals.
Finally convinced my dad that Jeter is immensely hatable.

Yeah, I agree. Getz has alot of speed, which I’m betting will start to show up defensively, and had very good K:BB numbers in the minors. 26 years old, a nice complimentary piece and still young enough to turn into something of value (i.e. above replacement level). Fields of course still has that power upside he’s shown in the minors.

Wake me up when they trade Grenkie (or Butler), otherwise they’re treading water… three feet under the surface.

I think this makes KC worse, not better.

I don’t know that it makes anyone better.

I’m sure this doesn’t need its own fanshot, but I’m pretty intrigued by the Hardy for Gomez deal.

mainly because lee gets to face him again, right?

Actually because I thought Hardy was a lot better player than he was last year, but now that I look, it seems like the Twins still have their usual shortstop
