Blockquoted paragraph In six seasons as a manager, Sarbaugh has won four pennants, three league championships, been to the playoffs five times and was named manager of year in the Carolina League in 2007.
Impressive. He’s certainly earned the job. I hope he gets to retain his two coaches, Niebla and Lee May Jr.
I know that in the minors, managers do a lot of teaching, because their coaching staff is limited. Do major league managers do much teaching? I’m wondering if Sarbaugh would make a better coach than manager it the ML level.

Interesting. On the MLB.com roster his title is Coach. We already have a pitching coach and bullpen coach, is it normal to have three pitching coaches on the roster? (never mind, the Dodgers have 10 coaches on their roster, four of which have the title of “Coach.” It must be fun to be a big market team…)
