Jim Bowden in 1998, upon Jon Nunnally’s demotion to Indianapolis:

Sometimes it’s best for a young player to go down and get straightened out. Hopefully, he’ll get back into the groove he was in last year and get back up and help us in the second half.
Apparently, Nunnally learned something from the experience, even if it was not what the Reds hoped he would learn.
