Alex Rodriguez was young and stupid. He was young, naive, unintelligent. Ultimately, he's to blame. He didn't have anything to do with the team, the trainers or other players. He came up with the idea to administer "bole" to himself through his cousin, who apparently lived in the Dominican Republic. It wasn't until he suffered a neck injury and he heard that they were implementing testing that he started to take his bole use seriously.
Just now, Joel Sherman from some douchey NY rag performed a math felony by extrapolating Alex's "two times a month" estimate into asking him if he took it 36 times a year.
Now he's talking about his bench-press numbers in high school, which he worked hard at so he could get a free letterman's jacket.
Sweet mercy, this is a mess. Comments welcome.
