Wedge stresses the issue is minor. Many hands are wrung.
UPDATE: Per Castro again, Wood had a full workout today and expects to throw a full bullpen session tomorrow. [Jay]

Of course. He’s sick of having his image misappropriated by the Yankees.
Signature to be named later.

Everybody stay calm!!!
So this back issue, if it is, indeed, as minor as it appears, isn’t really much of a setback at all.

Not worried. This is Cleveland… if Wood gets hurt, it’ll be right before the playoffs after pitching brilliantly all year.
Banned.

God let’s hope not. Maybe he just slept wrong and got a crick. I do that all the time, and I can still throw 97 with a devastating 12-6 curve.

as Wedge said to the PD, “We want him ready for April 6th, not March 6th” . . .

If the FO says it’s minor, that’s good enough for me. It’s not like they’ve ever minimized an injury before.
Besides, I hear JoBo’s available, so we’ve got that going for us.

The Cubs decided against pitching Wood both Thursday and Friday after he missed his appearance Wednesday with back spasms, so the revised plan had him pitching back-to-back days for the first time Sunday or Monday. Of course, today is Saturday, so we have no idea what’s going on now. Wood, who has allowed four runs and walked none in nine innings this spring, is supposed to be named the Cubs’ closer at some point in the near future.
Things worked out OK last year, as I recall.

Cub fan
Cleveland fans, welcome to life living with Kerry Wood. He is a tremendous competitor and professional but you will be living on pins and needles with the fragile physical condition of his body for the next two years.
