Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions

So Jay, you watching this on MLB or what?

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions

MLBN, yeah.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions

Oh, hey, Valbeuna! Awesome!

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions

Good eye! Good eye!

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions

I like the look of Valbuena – I’m feeling really good about him

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:51 PM EST reply actions

So what did I miss? Any especially good/bad performances?

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:51 PM EST reply actions

I’ve missed most of it – Tomo Ohka, incredibly bad

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:51 PM EST up reply actions

Tomo Ohka, incredibly bad

I think Tabler’s dad could’ve gotten a hit off him

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:52 PM EST up reply actions

Neifi.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:52 PM EST up reply actions

Tabler’s dad, yes. Not sure if Neifi Perez could have gotten a hit, though.

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:54 PM EST up reply actions

Ha! Wonder if Tomo realizes the convergence of events that are required to precede his pitching in a major league game for the Tribe.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:02 PM EST up reply actions

It isn’t that unlikely.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

Well, sure. Double headers; injuries; fall from contention. But still.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:05 PM EST up reply actions

Not fall from contention, just untimely need for a tenth starter.

Pavano, Reyes, Laffey injured. Sowers, Jackson ineffective. Not that unlikely.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:07 PM EST up reply actions

Right. But we should also add that he needs to not pitch like he did today. I mean, they’d bring out Elarton before that mess.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:07 PM EST up reply actions

or Cassel.

Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

by westbrook on Feb 26, 2009 7:12 PM EST up reply actions

No great problem there, except for Clippers management.

Who starts the inaugural game at The Hunt? Sowers?

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:52 PM EST up reply actions

tough call…have to go check on my food

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:53 PM EST up reply actions

I guess out of respect, the organization has to start with Sowers.

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:55 PM EST up reply actions

hmm…not so good there

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:51 PM EST reply actions

Thinking stocky but effective infielders are undervalued, like short RHP.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:52 PM EST reply actions

Is Saarloos really little – or is that just my TV stretching the picture funny?

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:57 PM EST reply actions

6’0"…not too little

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 6:57 PM EST up reply actions

I looked away at the wrong moment, how did Brown look on that play?

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 6:59 PM EST reply actions

you and me both – no idea

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:02 PM EST up reply actions

Adam Miller tomorrow?

by bewwolv on Feb 26, 2009 7:02 PM EST reply actions

Just got caught up. The Astros are winning. LaBomba for President. Happy birthday DeRosa. Tomo Ohka is not this year’s Cy Young winner. Anything else I miss?

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:02 PM EST reply actions

LaBomba. I kind of like it.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

it seems to be catching

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

APV, I think.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

it was me, and I didn’t really like it or think of it as a nickname when I typed it

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:06 PM EST up reply actions

It beats the Door

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:07 PM EST up reply actions

Wait, wait, wait. No it definitely doesn’t. That is actually pretty sweet.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:08 PM EST up reply actions

If that caught on, I’d quote “The Unforgiven II” a lot

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:10 PM EST up reply actions

But now I see the sun

No, it really isn’t.

I mean, it’s better than DoorMatt, but it’s still not good.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:10 PM EST up reply actions

Agree to disagree, as my doppelganger once said.

Me too. Kind of.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:03 PM EST up reply actions

And can anyone confirm that Kerry Wood is, in fact, alive?

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:03 PM EST reply actions

He wasn’t supposed to pitch today, if that’s what has you worried.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:04 PM EST up reply actions

Nope, just general terror

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:05 PM EST up reply actions

By the way, APV, my dad picked a sweet pic of him walking off the field in catcher gear for his Fantasy Camp card. It’s kind of how I imagine Sal Fasano will look in… about six years.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:04 PM EST reply actions

Vaguely spectacular catch by Barfield … in CF?

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:06 PM EST reply actions

He could still become Mark McLemore

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:06 PM EST up reply actions

I’ve seen weirder.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:08 PM EST up reply actions

He’d actually have to hit the ball occasionally to become Mark McLemore

by woodsmeister on Feb 27, 2009 9:28 AM EST up reply actions

See, that was just uncalled for. Everyone knows he can’t hit, or at least hasn’t hit since 2007.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 27, 2009 11:46 AM EST up reply actions

Sorry, since 2006.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 27, 2009 11:46 AM EST up reply actions

I’m really late, but THE DOOR!

Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

by westbrook on Feb 26, 2009 7:09 PM EST reply actions

See, I can get on board with this.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:09 PM EST up reply actions

Look, a door is something that GETS beaten down, not something that does the beating.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:10 PM EST up reply actions

Just allow me to take pleasure in a nickname that would go completely uncomprehended on cleveland.com.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:16 PM EST up reply actions

… but it’s open if you’re true…

I hear Jesus is going the distance

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:11 PM EST reply actions

It’s too bad Barfield turned into the suck – he would have been a fun guy to be a big fan of

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:14 PM EST reply actions

Agreed.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:14 PM EST up reply actions

I’m a sucker for guys who look like they’re having fun all the time. I adored Baerga when I was a kid.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:15 PM EST up reply actions

Barfield hit Jesus!

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:14 PM EST reply actions

That’s more than he hit all of 2007

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:16 PM EST up reply actions

Well, they went pretty quietly, that wasn’t much fun.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:15 PM EST reply actions

What’s with the low number?

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:18 PM EST up reply actions

He’s pretty far removed from the major league club, right? 64 seems like the number you give to LaPorta or Miller or Meloan, not Edell.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 7:19 PM EST up reply actions

He’s not so far. He’ll see time in Columbus this year. Could even start the season there.

by APV on Feb 26, 2009 7:20 PM EST up reply actions

It’s true. I read it in a book.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Feb 26, 2009 7:26 PM EST up reply actions

Well, it looks like they’re largely alpabetical, actually

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

That’s a tragic word to spell wrong.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Feb 26, 2009 11:55 PM EST up reply actions

Wow. I own a script I hat, and I love the logo. And yet it just now hit me that there is a “C” buried in that script I.

by tabler84 on Feb 26, 2009 7:19 PM EST reply actions

woah. and a script lower-case L too.

Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

by westbrook on Feb 26, 2009 7:42 PM EST up reply actions

well, if you see the C, then look at it as if it were the word cleveland in cursive, on an upwards slant.

I’ve never watched spring training games before, but the horrendousity of the defense is kind of off-putting. It’s like an NBA All-Star game.

Watching dudes fight off that “high sky” is a little scary. Someone’s going to take one in the melon this spring.
