Since then, Barfield has been relegated mostly to Triple-A games. Unless he learns to play something other than second, his career probably will remain stalled. But he has shown promise taking ground balls at third and chasing fly balls in the outfield.
In fact Wedge has said, ''Barfield is a good center fielder right now, and he can play all three spots.''

Who’d have thought back in 2007 that Michael Aubrey, Josh Barfield, and Andy Marte would be starting infielders in….AAA.

Aubrey and Marte can not both be starting infielders.
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

I’d say not one of the three of them is a starting infielder in Triple-A.
Brown, Valbuena and Hodges will be the infield starters, along with one shortstop or another.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

ok, then just…infielders. And probably that’s not entirely accurate.

Better- who would have thought Marte would be playing 1B to extend his career, Barfield would be playing CF to keep his career alive and Garko would be playing LF to make himself un-marginal.

Was Jody Gerut a minor-league infielder or something? He isn’t seriously marveling that an outfielder can play all 3 outfield positions, is he?

Grady Sizemore would seem to be the perfect candidate to transform into a multiple position wunderkind
This article is blowing my mind.

In reference to your tags, he does in fact have a beard. It just happens to sit on his brow.
