Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

I'm not sure how interesting this is but for those who do not remember reports after his accident, most thought he would never pitch again. Its good to see him trying to catch on again.

Great news! Good luck to him.

Considering that at the time the injuries were described as life-threatening, the fact that he is going to pitch again is nothing short of amazing. Good for him. Castro says that “[t]he doctors believe Lara’s spine can handle the torque of pitching, but the Indians will see how his muscles and core respond.”

Excellent. Good for him. And yes, this is much more interesting than the old internet meme updates.

This is absolutely wonderful news. Even if he is never able to throw another pitch in a competitive situation, this speaks volumes about his recovery.

Even if he pitches in the minors for the next 5 years he should be happy.

Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.

This is stunning to say the least (actually brought tears to my eyes).

Reading the list of his injuries again I can’t believe he can walk normally yet let alone throw a baseball. All the best to him!!

most thought he would never pitch again.

I didn’t think he would live again. Great for him.

That is certainly excellent and inspiring news – let’s hope he can still realize his ML dream (and especially with the Indians) – that would be great to see! :-)
