After what his brother Exxon did to Alaska I’m not sure I really like that guy.

When I saw that name pitching for them I was like wtf. Is he actually in their rotation?
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.
Can we play lineup for a minute? As in, what do we think the everyday lineup will be (not should be) in April?
Is it:
Grady, DeRosa, Hafner,
Victor, Peralta, Choo,
Garko/Shoppach, Francisco, Droobs.
That’s the sense I get from Wedge’s recent comments, though I’m unsure about the order of the bottom three.
That’s about what I’d guess too, really. I don’t see a lot of places to move people around a ton.
DISCLAIMER: I may be bitter.
Yours seems preferable to me, too, but I think dg has probably nailed the likely lineup.

Spring ERAs:
SDP 6.95 Cactus
SEA 6.94 Cactus
ARI 6.59 Cactus
LAD 6.30 Cactus
COL 6.03 Cactus
OAK 5.85 Cactus
SFG 5.77 Cactus
CLE 5.73 Cactus
KCR 5.52 Cactus
TEX 5.48 Cactus
CWS 5.44 Cactus
NYM 5.19 Grapefruit
Lots of offense in Arizona.
Probably not a great sign for the Mets that they even approach being on that list.
DISCLAIMER: I may be bitter.
Im irrationally sad about Gutz’s missing potential this morning.

No Jakwsubauskas but anything that means less SIlva and RolandSmith should be a good idea.
Travis Hafner is overrated. Clarity is underrated. David Dellucci is David Dellucci.
Continuing to just post random info in the game threads. Here’s the Columbus rotation:
David Huff, Jeremy Sowers, Aaron Laffey, Kirk Saarloos, and Jack Cassel
And here’s the lineup they are putting out today:
1. Michael Brantley CF
2. Luis Valbuena 2B
3. Michael Aubrey DH
4. Matt LaPorta LF
5. Stephen Head 1B
6. Wes Hodges 3B
7. George Lombard RF
8. Wyatt Toregas C
9. Brandon Pinckney SS
From Scott Leo’s blog.
Although, I guess you still have Marte, and maybe Valdez at SS.
So at this rate, do we think Lewis could possibly get the axe before Pavano does? He’s not inspiring a lot of confidence with his last two outings.
DISCLAIMER: I may be bitter.
I’m sorry, did someone ask for a Franklin Gutierrez montage?

God that was a very happy, very drunk half inning.
So 2009.

Burned into my memory like the moon-landing would have been, had I been alive…
Which is ironic given the amount of whiskey involved.

I for one will miss his defense certainly, but I won’t miss that hopeful feeling everytime he’s at the plate shortly followed by disappointment

As a father I have got to say that the two men with the little girl in the picture, wow. It looks like someone three rows back and to the left is concerned. But those two… nuthin’
Yes! I had the same response. If that’s my girl, I’d have ditched the nachos long ago.

That’s so cute of us to give Ronny Cedeno what I’m pretty sure is the first extra-base hit of his career.

I have really not been paying enough attention to baseball recently. I’m just like, “Wait. Cedeno’s on the Mariners? When did that happen?”
Just tuning in… I see things went well for SLewis this afternoon.
It’s okay; the Indians are good at overcoming these sort of early deficits against Seattle.
Can you imagine an amazing comeback, minus any of the suspense, drama, or importance, in the afternoon? My, that would be splendid.
That is so disturbing on SO many levels!

Bleh. For the moment, I choose to believe he is overexcited since being named to the rotation, and will calm down after a couple regular season starts.

I am convinced that “Maintaining a website 101” includes random pointless changes to keep the site fresh
But I mean, sharp corners are just so 20th century…

I liked the sharp corners myself, but it’s just a taste thing.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
I really couldn’t care less what shape the buttons are. But probably I’d go with the corners too, since everything else on the page is rectangular.

That’s weird, mine are still boxes….maybe because I’m using IE?

Just looked in on the game, someone please tell me tell me the SLewis was just trying to give the outfielders some practice shagging fly balls.

Gutz saved him from a burning building last fall… He has to do whatever he asks now.

The beginning of the greatest comeback in Spring Training history (that includes the Indians and Mariners [Which furthermore includes a Scott Lewis meltdown]).
This is apparently not in Wedge’s plans, as evidenced by the latest pitching change.

maybe he could borrow some of Droobs’s Glide…

Can I assume, no joke, that at this point Graff, Espino, Valdez are here and playing for no other reason than to give our roster guys a break? As in, they don’t want our regular to log too many innings in the sun?
