LGT Fantasy Baseball

The prior fantasy baseball thread closed. Lets use this FanPost to post information on spaces available in fantasy baseball leagues.

We have 6 spaces available in a Yahoo LGT League. 10 team, MLB, 5 x 5 roto. Draft is Monday March 23 at 8:30 Eastern. We did this league last year as an AL only league, but the 4 owners who have returned agreed to go to MLB universe.

You can sign up by joining a private league at Yahoo fantasy baseball.

I was just coming out here to post about the other LGT Baseball league.

It’s a daily H2H league on Yahoo, we’re currently set up to do a 12 team league and uses the MLB universe. We have 7 people from last year and currently 5 open spots. This league has been active for 3 years now.

We’ve decided to make this a Keeper League going forward, although details on numbers, etc. are still be worked out. The live draft is Sun Mar 22 5:30pm EDT.

Class of ’01. Also an “athlete” in the intramural sense only (although I still have a few t-shirts from winning championships, which is very easy to do at a school where only a few students live on campus and play intramurals).

The 10 team roto league is full. The head to head league seems to have one spot left at this time.

It will be fun to play the head to head league with keepers.

If there’s any interest on the H2H league please post in reply here. I’ve opened up the discussion on the league page whether or not to bump the number of teams from 12 to 16. I’d like to gauge if there’s still another 4 people out there who are interested. If all the managers agree, we’ll take names from here.

Ok, but only if you stop using the subject line.

I gave everyone until midnight tonight to voice an opinion. Check back tomorrow and I’ll let you know the answer (and, most likely when I’ll switch the league to 16 teams).

During my auction draft two weeks ago (I know, early), I knew that one of my friends has a mancrush on Justin, so I tried to bid him up a little. It blew up in my face, and I was stuck with Justin. I felt so dirty to have not just any Yankee, but that one.

Given our mutual hatred of at least most Yankees, and surely Justin, it will be interesting to see if there are any social pressures against drafting such players during live drafts. At what point does the desire to win the league trump the desire to not have a tainted roster?

Just thinking out loud here…

Actually – I’m in both leagues and I think one league will be enough this year. If you want my spot in the Roto, you can have it. Just let me know and I’ll drop out.
