Jensen just wanted the Win

by Roger Dorn on Apr 15, 2009 4:27 PM EDT up reply actions

Pronk has me excited again. He’s looking better every game … except yesterday

by JP_Frost on Apr 15, 2009 4:27 PM EDT reply actions

He looked really good sitting on the bench. Quite relaxed.

by FredOx on Apr 15, 2009 4:29 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s the little things.

f’n Covelli.

You know Selig? Ombudsman.

by rolub on Apr 15, 2009 4:28 PM EDT reply actions

well at least he didn’t walk him.

by Ryan on Apr 15, 2009 4:28 PM EDT reply actions

How did Choo play it?

by doowop on Apr 15, 2009 4:29 PM EDT up reply actions

Looked like he thought it was a HR.

by Chief Wahoo on Apr 15, 2009 4:29 PM EDT up reply actions

He was hoping it would ricochet, but it kind of died at the bottom of the wall

by Roger Dorn on Apr 15, 2009 4:29 PM EDT up reply actions

That could be more accurate.

by Chief Wahoo on Apr 15, 2009 4:30 PM EDT up reply actions

Coco didn’t hit an inside-the-parker.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Apr 15, 2009 4:28 PM EDT reply actions

Sure seems like a lot of triples in this park

by Chief Wahoo on Apr 15, 2009 4:28 PM EDT reply actions

has a lot to do with Crisp, who is the first in the ML with 3 triples this year

by palcal on Apr 15, 2009 4:33 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m decidedly not so cuckoo for Coco Crisp.

by JimmyAB on Apr 15, 2009 4:29 PM EDT reply actions

Former Indians manage to pwn the Tribe. They must have really hated Wedge

you guys are time machine’ing me to shit

by JP_Frost on Apr 15, 2009 4:29 PM EDT reply actions

Well, it’s getting worse. Sorry to do it again.

by painaxl on Apr 15, 2009 4:30 PM EDT up reply actions

Then you’ll be happy to hear that Crisp just scored.

RBI Aviles

Harry Doyle: He'll need a rocket up his ass to catch that one; that baby's out of here.

by Wigwammer on Apr 15, 2009 4:30 PM EDT reply actions

That’s a crappy swing by Aviles. A three hopper through the infield cannot be contained.

by xrickx on Apr 15, 2009 4:30 PM EDT reply actions

I want Raffy B. There I said it

by Roger Dorn on Apr 15, 2009 4:30 PM EDT reply actions

I mean, we might as well. Let’s find out what we have again, like last night.

Are you comparing Betancourt to Chulk?

Just clarifying.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Apr 15, 2009 4:36 PM EDT up reply actions

Betancourt, but I think they want to save him for the eighth if possible.

how good would a healthy Adam Miller look now instead of Masa.

Pulled off the PA turnpike to find a sports bar for the end of the game. Strolled into “Legends” at the Holiday Inn, Mechanicsburg, PA. We scored two runs to go up 5-2 within my first 90 seconds here.

by Manhattan Tribe Fan on Apr 15, 2009 4:34 PM EDT up reply actions

I hate driving the PA turnpike, it feels like you’re driving through a DMZ, there’s so much concrete.

by Ryan on Apr 15, 2009 4:35 PM EDT up reply actions

I like 80 a lot. Very scenic.

There was a place near Clarion that advertised “The World’s Worst Apple Pie.”

I always wanted to stop and verify this, but I never have.

It’s been miserable. Raining the whole time, plus all but 30 miles so far have been 55/construction. PA turnpike people are absolute douchebags, surpassed only by the local cops hunting for ticket quota along the way.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

State troopers make it a lovely drive.

Interesting side note to pass along:

Nebraska Cornhusker football coach Bo Pelini is a big Indians fan. He grew up in Ohio and played for the Buckeyes (I think). He sent Kelly Shoppach a package of Husker gear the other day after he met Shoppach during spring training. I cover the Nebraska football team for my college newspaper. I’m going to ask him at practice today about his thoughts on the season.

Jackie Robinson

by Gradyforpresident on Apr 15, 2009 4:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Bud Selig is stupid. It’s Jackie Robinson day. Instead of letting players wear Robinson’s number as their own for a tribute, he’s decided to put in on every freaking ball player – for one day only. So. Stupid.
