Those first two strikes to choo were garbage, wedge has every reason to bitch.
"Mixed emotions. Rather see him hit PEDroia [with that pitch]. I don’t care if he is in the dugout"
And essentially Choo had to swing at that garbage because of it.

We don’t want Reyes that far up in the zone.

A few thoughts
1) No gnats, and Justin still sucked today.
2) Anthony Reyes….I see why Duncan wanted him to throw more two-seamers. Keep it down, son.
Chamberlain's got a little Captain in him
Take that for what you will

hammy, I know how much you love swisher, but come on.
Ben Francisco: An Outfielder only on baseball cards and roster sheets.
Hey, come now, Swish is the Yankees’ best pitcher.

Again, I can’t believe how quiet it is in that place. You’ve got the bases loaded in a 2-run game and it sounds like a funeral.
the fans might be afraid their Martini olives will get stuck in their throat if they scream too loud

We hadda guy by that name in our OR too – he was a tool passer – true story.
Resident LGT results-oriented boob.
You’re missing the point. He has an OLDBERTO that WORKS with him.

The catcher-blocking-the-plate rule bothers me. I hate when runners steamroll the catcher, but that was Peralta’s only choice. He didn’t, was out, and got hurt because he avoided the collision.
Yeah, I always found that odd. It’s not like the 2B can block the base, why does the catcher get to do it? Just cause he’s wearing a bunch of protection?
yeah this is one of those weird things where it’s pretty much totally against the official rules yet it’s unofficially a part of the game. The rule would be tough to enforce though, b/c the catcher has to wait for the ball somewhere.
Two people have had cakes at my work in consecutive days.

With this umpire, how can you be so sure?
by woodsmeister on Apr 17, 2009 3:08 PM EDT up reply actions
I don’t get this. I’m not saying Jackson won’t do a good job. But he’s not a guy who typically gets out lefties, so that can’t be the excuse. And who throws 5 innings of relief, if need be, tomorrow?
We went out to the arena district when they happened to be playing in Columbus. It was an amazing sight to see so many 30 something women that showed up for the concert all decked out in t-shirts, painted faces and outfits they hadn’t worn since high school.
Still only a solo shot. But no more, please.

Jesus our bullpen sucks.
"Mixed emotions. Rather see him hit PEDroia [with that pitch]. I don’t care if he is in the dugout"
You have to now that 5 runs won’t win this game. Sucks for our offense, but that’s how it’s gonna be until some guys turn themselves around.
We desperately need one of the Raffies to return to form.

I don’t consider Jackson part of the bullpen. He’s on the team just to pitch when the bullpen should be resting. Wedge didn’t get that memo.
This place is a freaking launching pad to Right
Harry Doyle: He'll need a rocket up his ass to catch that one; that baby's out of here.
Joe Smith coming on to face Jeter. Ransom at 2nd, 2 out.

Lefty then three switch hitters.
Damon doesn’t really have a split, except for less power against lefties. Tex is killer from either side, but you want Swisher batting lefty and Posada batting righty.
I don’t know what the hell you do.
nice, Julie.
