So big day today. Game threading Indians + Cavs. I also had Jury Duty today. It sucked. It is not recommended.
I was not given the opportunity; however, I am feeling mighty patriotic. Knowing that I am an essential cog in the justice process makes me feel good. I’m a true american, like Capt. America + Evil Kinevil + Johnny Cash in one.
I’m on call for jury duty, too. But I live in the backend of beyond, so I haven’t been called. I’m not completely certain we have trials here.
You could put it in dual screen mode and size the window to only cover the tribe game.

I only saw briefly on the Gark Smash to the warning track, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen the bleachers that empty in a non rain-delayed game. Guess that’s what happens when cold and Cavs and even Jackets playoffs, eh?

MLB.TV users: You can run 2 versions of the app simultaneously. Just past the game URL into a second tab or window. Then switch the second tab to WTAM.

if BenFran is still hitting like this at the end of April (which it basically is), there’s no reason why LaPorta shouldn’t be up here.
I asked about that on Tony Lastoria’s site and he said it’s basically a thing fans are more concerned about than management. Besides, it’s a very complex system. If he performs like we expect him too, he’ll eventually sign a long term contract anyway buying out his arb years.
We’ve been over this quite a bit here, and I believe the conclusion is that the only thing in play is whether he might be that extra early year of arbitration. It’s not going to hold him down if we can use him and he’s ready.

I don’t know how I feel about change for the sake of change, but ESPN and MLB.com are always refining their formats. Sometimes, I just really appreciate baseball-reference and its design — nothing but lines of statistics.
When I’m looking for something beyond the surface, it’s always BR, but when it’s something quick and current I usually scan MLB.com’s. Maybe it’s the appealing graphics and I’m just a dumb American.
Speaking of Netflix! I’ve got a real bone to pick with you people. Who told me to Netfix Idiocracy? that was TERRIBLE.
I thought it was more interesting than good. Some hilarious bits, but it kind of falls apart before it gets to the end. Judge certainly had a good idea, but you can totally tell that the movie was edited by committee.

True but if I rate a movie a 4, it’s closest related movies then get a bump in what they assume I would feel, when, in reality, I almost certainly wouldn’t enjoy it unless it matched the extreme irony factor, which is most probably will not.
I don’t really use recommendations on sites like Netflix/Amazon except to laugh at the bizarre things recommended, so I did not consider that.
9 out of 10 recommendations I ignore, but every now and then something I’ve completely forgotten about or something I’ve never heard of will show up and looks good. I wouldn’t have had the chance to watch The Adventures of Ford Fairlane without it.
And for what it’s worth, the ironic movie was Chairman of the Board, starring Carrot Top as a surfer/inventor. It…is…amazing.
They really need to find a way to give a split rating. So you can give a movie a top ranking for enjoyment and a lowet ranking for the fact that it was also pretty terrible. (Note: This is how I feel about the TV move Black Circle Boys. I don’t think it was supposed to be funny.)

I just don’t get how signing Sidney Ponson is ever defensible. There is no other pitcher with upside for the Royals to start?
