Jensen fielded that ball deceptively.

Just got back from class. Hadn’t even realized we had a game this afternoon. What the hell is the offense doing?
They also didn’t realize we had a game this afternoon.

Getting shut down by a good pitcher. Unlike yesterday, when they got shut down by a soft-tossing hack.

So far, this season is looking more and more like 2006 with each passing day.
And there’s Teahen standing on third base.

Should have been standing on second with an easy double, had to bust out a vintage ridiculous Garkslide into second. Looked foolish.
My old man still talks about a game-ending slide he saw live last year.

I HATE OUR COACHING!!! WHO THE HELL SENDS SOMEONE HOME WITH NONE OUT AND HAFNER AS A POSSIBLE SAC FLY GUY!!!
Meche over 100 pitch mark
Should be able to get to him here in the 8th as long as there are no stupid baserunning plays. :)

Can someone explain how Graff got to home on a bunt when he was originally on second after a double?
Francisco bunted him over, but the pitcher fielded it & threw it away. The 2B was backing up well & threw him out at home.
we could use a couple insurace errors.
by Brick. on Apr 23, 2009 2:35 PM EDT up reply actions 2 recs
Told ya Meche was vulnerable at these pitch count levels. KC got greedy and tried to go straight from Meche to their stud closer.

Forfeit DH and play Choo in the OF or play Graffanino in the OF or play Graff at 3B and move DeRo to OF?
Well, first we have to put Shoppach in to move Victor to 1B.
Then it’s probably Graff at 3B and DeRo to LF.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
In theory we’re not going to have to hit again, so I’d forfeit the DH. Then again, Graff at third might be better than Choo in the OF.
Graf’s not in the bus on his way to Columbus already?

Also … I assume that now, suddenly, this game reflects well on the hitting coach?
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

If Grady Sizemore was one of the characters from the hit TV show Friends, he’d probably be Ross because he is just so cool and loves dinosaurs.
vr, Xei
OK. Can someone tell me what is going on and why we need to make these moves and what exactly happened. I’m lost, scared, confused and a little thirsty.
Garko was at 1B, but Graffanino pinch-ran for him (poorly). Crowe was in RF, but Hafner pinch-hit for him. Since Hafner in RF is not something I ever want to imagine, they moved DeRosa out to RF, Graffanino to 3B, Victor from C to 1B, and Shoppach in to catch.
With Kerry Wood, we really need only a catcher in the field.

Hey everyone,
Didn’t even know we were playing until five minutes ago on Facebook. Grady and I are facebook friends, and I saw his update… “Grady just completed the ’How awesome am I in close and late situations? And the answer is… God.”
This is, without question, the best game of the season so far.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Ballgame, heads off now to face Friday a happy man.

Is there any evidence that his risk of injury would be increased by throwing an extra 20 pitches once in awhile?
I just watched Grady’s home run
What is with the hood of that SUV opening up?
Is that like our apple? or mascot going down a slide?
The hood of a car opening up? really?

earth has a whole freaking week now? Black History Month better renew its lease. Earth has hired a realtor to look around at months.
Is there a way for me to listen to Hammy’s HR call at some point today? Can I get it on WTAM.com or on MLB.tv somehow? I was watching it on Extra Innings and that just won’t suffice..
So, I ride to the Y, the last thing I hear on the game call is Hamilton’s asinine non-home run call on the Grady fly ball, I go play racquetball for the first time in my life, and when I am done, the Tribe has won.
Racquetball is this year’s soup.
Il faut d'abord durer.
Where Have I Heard This Before?
GM Kevin Towers hauled out his Penn and Teller magic act and pulled a whole new bullpen out of his hat in the last week of spring training. “With a couple of weeks to go, my wife asked me if it was going to be tough to get down to 25,” Towers said. “I said, ‘Down to 25? I’m trying to get up to 25.’” Three trades, a waiver claim and two signings of released pitchers later, he had himself a whole new set-up crew and a fifth starter (Shawn Hill). So naturally, the Padres were fifth in the league in bullpen ERA through Tuesday. Incredible.
