Well, it might be the house that Andy built, but I did visit the new Huntington Field yesterday and took a few photos of the stadium. Sorry, they are from my cell phone, so not quite as good as LLM's
There are some interesting spots in the stadium. The right field wall has a standing room section that has a bar like shelf running the entire length.
Left field has a couple party areas and a few gathering places in the build-out beyond the wall.
Should be fun to catch a few games there this summer and see how some of the young guys are advancing.

Nice, thanks. I’m very excited for the new stadium and watching future Indians. I’m actually taking my AP Calculus class on May 14 for Education Day (although I’m not sure what educational things they’ll have for us to do there, not that I care).
Also, anyone trying to go to Opening Day there? It’s a Saturday night, which is weird, April 18. I haven’t looked in to tickets yet so I don’t even know if they’re still available, but that would be fun since I’m missing Opening Day at the Jake (for the second year in a row, unfortunately).

Those are open balconies where you can stand and watch the game.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Yeah, I talked to the Clippers VP a few months ago, trying to get high-res images for the Annual. He was extremely excited about that particular feature of the ballpark.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I see a suggestion of a upper deck, which I find a little ominous.

It’s complicated and irrational.
I like it, aesthetically speaking. Looks like a good place to hang.

That’s what I was referring to in the post. They have each ‘window’ outfitted with barstools and a belly-high shelf. You can get a load of BBQ (City Barbeque) from vending at the end of the stands and then sit down in one of those and have a place for your food & drink.

i thought that was just the lower part. – which also sounds cool.

Yeah, its both levels. Left field has something similar. I will try to re-post that image. As you can see I failed miserably last night Left field has a team shop and a Bob Evans on the ground floor, a large bar on the second floor with balconies and the third floor has a Wrigley-esque grandstand as well as more of those windows and a few vending booths.

Boy, I’m going to rationalize my prepaid parking in the Arena District into a ton of City Barbeque and beer.
Looks great — thanks for the pics.

But he said they have a Bob Evans.

About a half mile from my home, City Barbecue and Bob Evans cohabitate in the same building, which used to be a Cooker’s. Several times when we’ve gone for Bob Evans there has been a wait for Bob’s and no line at City Barbecue and we never regret walking to the other side of the building and getting barbecue instead. It’s much better than Bob B Que.

You live close to Cleveland Avenue then? I work at Polaris on the Cleveland Avenue side of 71, so I’ve been to that one.
The difference between City Barbecue and Bob Evans fare cannot be quantified.

Really, where? I live a couple blocks south of Polaris near I-71, just off Worthington-Galena Rd.

I’m hitting the first “Businessman’s Special” which is April 23 with an 11:30 start. Luckily, I work in advertising and my partner (who is also a big baseball fan) and I can go anywhere during the day and “concept” (come up with ideas).
Huntington Park looks like a great place to concept.

I still want to do an LGT Clippers outing, but I think I’m going to wait until closer to June to post some plans.

This park reminds me of an old-school Osborn park.
