I really did fool myself into thinking I could cram some productivity in between 1:30 and 2.

Though I look right at home, I still feel like an exile

Take a personal day every year

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and little children shout;
But I’d rather be at Let’s Go Tribe, and posting till we’re out.

by FranklinScott on Apr 6, 2009 1:47 PM EDT reply actions   1 recs

I would rather be at the game…in the sun…with a cold one.

by ShawnK on Apr 6, 2009 1:50 PM EDT up reply actions

So so so ready for this season.

by zempf on Apr 6, 2009 1:49 PM EDT reply actions

Not me. The long spring training has left me bitter and indifferent.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Apr 6, 2009 1:50 PM EDT up reply actions

I’m in your boat

So 2009.

by Gradyforpresident on Apr 6, 2009 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions

So that’s why you’re not drunk.

Be honest, do I overuse the italics?

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Apr 6, 2009 1:53 PM EDT up reply actions

I didn’t even call skip work today. Then again, apparently everyone else did …

So 2009.

by Gradyforpresident on Apr 6, 2009 1:54 PM EDT up reply actions

I don’t even notice italics when I read through comments

by Roger Dorn on Apr 6, 2009 1:54 PM EDT up reply actions

I don’t think so

So 2009.

by Gradyforpresident on Apr 6, 2009 1:54 PM EDT up reply actions

I think everyone else underuses them

Same here. But, I am more nervous starting this season.

I got an error when trying to open up the Tribe game. “Video will be available soon” or whatever. Mets v. Reds game works perfectly though.

Today’s Games link in Mets game says “No games today”. Jesus Christ MLB you got 10 minutes to get it together!

by SeattleVinny on Apr 6, 2009 1:56 PM EDT up reply actions

My side-bar just changed to “Warm-Up” for our game. So, it looks like there may be activity.

No pre-game Audio has me in a tizzy.

by SeattleVinny on Apr 6, 2009 1:59 PM EDT up reply actions

Over in the pregame thread, when I praised Santana, he promptly gave up 2 walks, so let me say that Millwood is pretty good, and never gives up leadoff home runs to left-handed center fielders.

by FredOx on Apr 6, 2009 1:53 PM EDT reply actions

let’s make that left-handed outfielders

by dgcambridge on Apr 6, 2009 2:02 PM EDT reply actions

So, now I’ve gone to the EI feed.

This is crap. You people trying to convince me this is better than mlbtv are nuts.

Do I go with ESPN2 in HD and suffer ESPN’s broadcast or Underwood/Manning in terrible box-shaped low D?

by afh4 on Apr 6, 2009 2:03 PM EDT reply actions

Since ESPN wasn’t planning on carrying it, I’m wondering if we won’t just get some other feed instead.
