Ben Francisco: An Outfielder only on baseball cards and roster sheets.
I’ve told enough people my neurotic fear of extreme wealth that I’ve also never gotten them as a gift.
The Yankee fans are gonna want him for 6/63 by the time he’s done with the postseason.

ooo that’s a good one. Jose Jiminez and Jason Johnson too.

Mota made it far worse when he went to the Mets and was untouchable.

When the Tribe was in SF, my friends and I went, they being Giants fans, and I an Indians one (obviously). My buddy’s season tickets are literally about a foot and a half away from the away team on deck circle, amazing seats. Boone was on deck, and he was batting .180 at the time, and my buddy yelled something like “YOU RIDE THE i80 IN TOWN?” which comes through SF. Boone looked legitimately hurt. Julio Lugo also told us to blank ourselves.
Lugo?

I’m thinking the entire Tigers lineup has the Swine Flu. That would explain Pavano’s success easier.
well…. I suppose probably unlikely he would’ve come on for the 9th, even if he had the shutout going.

I don’t watch any of the game, and tune in to find out that (at the time) Pavano had given up 3 hits and Dellucci had three hits of his own. What is this bizarro world into which I have fallen?
May. It follows April every year, but some of us had forgotten that in our despair.

It’s a site where you list books you’re reading or have read or want to read and see other people’s lists and reviews and whatnot. It’s hypnotic.
Wow, even at a book a week that’s over 11 years worth of reading.
by Logodaedalus on May 1, 2009 10:13 PM EDT up reply actions
How long and/or fluffy are these books? That’s pretty impressive.
by Logodaedalus on May 1, 2009 10:17 PM EDT up reply actions
After getting an English degree, I stick mostly with fluff nowadays, with the occasional Victorian novel thrown in.
I guess it’s the games that have been tied after 7, or blown in the 7th, that have killed us?

Apparently, I’ve already blocked Wednesday out. I’ve also blocked out the bottom of the eighth of this game. We’re still up 6-0 and Pavano’s cruising.

Why are we even pitching to the guy with 3-0. Manager needs to step in and demand a pitch out there.
the guy’s OPS they pitched to was > 1

yeah, we feel reeeeeeeal good right now.
Ben Francisco: An Outfielder only on baseball cards and roster sheets.
the team you want to win still has the lead. the by pitching to cabrera, the indians were going to make the tigers take at least TWO swings to tie it. by your route, it would have only taken one.

Eric Wedge couldn’t manage a fucking fruit stand. Perez instead of Sipp? He brings in Jensen Lewis, he of the infinite home run rate to face Magglio and Cabrera. What the hell is Joe Smith doing on the roster if you don’t use him to face tough right handed hitters?
Good God Dellucci

I left for twenty minutes or so, came back and heard Hammy mention something about the Tigers’ arms in the pen to get to closer Fernando Rodney. My heart stopped for a second.
This is still pretty bad though. What the heck, Jensen.

so…. Laffey tomorrow and Lee on Sunday? Boy, a sweep of a division rival would really help right now.

Check out this old picture of Pavano I found. My god, what a horrible promotion that is.
