"Pavano Pitching Well" - FanGraphs
My main emotion upon reading this is:
"How is it that the Carl Pavano gamble ends up paying off so well so far and each and every bullpen move has been an unmitigated disaster? Sports aren't even close to fair!!!"
Then I start swearing under my breath. Let's sweep the Reds and get back in this thing.

taking $40 million from the Yankees and offering nothing in return.
And this is why Pavano will always be a valuable member of this team.

Offering nothing to the Yankees is good as offering quality starts to us, having him actually give us quality starts as well… that’s just icing on the cake.

I’m curious what the sentiment about Pavano is among the general Cleveland populace. I know LGT has been fairly impressed… I wonder what the Cleveland.commers think, though I’m scared to wade in and find out.

Duh. They think Dolan is Cheap. No matter how well Pavano pitches, the fact that a starter is playing for $1.5 million merely proves that The Cheap Owner of the Indians Would Rather Pick A Player From The Scrap Heap Than Pay CC.
