Uh oh, Ohka up. Zackson down.
He's back in the bigs after a long hiatus and he's wearing a Tribe uni.
Zach Jackson optioned.
UPDATE: Perhaps the bigger news, Anthony Reyes moved to the 60-day DL to make room for Ohka, so he's gone through the All-Star break. By that point, Westbrook and/or SLewis might already be back. [Jay]

Does this mean Reyes is moving to the 60-day DL?

Our rotation is starting to remind me of 2002. That year CC, Ryan Drese and Danys Baez all made 25+ starts – but after that we had half a season of Bartolo, half a season of Chuck Finley, seven starts each from Nagy and Ricardo Rodriguez, six starts each from Jason Phillips and Jaret Wright, four from Jake Westbrook, three each from Dave Burba and Terry Mullholland, and a couple each from Jason Davis, Cliff Lee and Brian Tallet. And Roy Smith started a game.

Looks good, and he’s only 35. Sign him up.

Ricardo Rodriguez. Sigh. I remember having very hopes for that guy.

Me too. He looked like a real big-league starter.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Same. I liked his, uh, willingness to pitch inside

Chulk. Herges. Aquino. Ohka. Who’s next? Cassel?
It seems like the Indians won the jackpot on the lottery called “spring training invites” this year.

won the jackpot on the lottery called "spring training invites"
I’m pretty sure that is the worst lottery ever

yeah, we’ve been shopping at the wrong lottery store.

In my neck of the woods it’s called “The 99 Cent Bonanza.”

Not when it includes Bob Howry.

I would not make fun… so far these are the guys that have saved our season….

As much vitriol as the front office has taken this year… most of which is probably deserved, I have to give them credit for finding #9 and #10 starter options like Ohka and Saarloos and #11 and #12 bullpen options like Aquino and Vizcaino.
I have no doubt in my mind Ohka has the chance to contribute more than Zach Jackson…. although that’s like winning the world’s tallest midget competition.

I agree with that first part, but maybe Ohka should be a starter.

This move makes most of us want to vomit, so just think of how it makes Jackson feel.

wedge on pregame radio with Hammy:
today ohka is legth in the pen. sowers back to rotation, “obviously”. we’ll see how huff does today.
so, it’s keep the bed clean time for huff indeed.

What’s wrong with giving Huff a longer rope? We’re quite a ways back with a patchwork pitching staff.

I agree. What slender chance we have of getting back in the race depends entirely on a number of things going very right. Dave Huff has as much chance of going very right as anyone else.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Hence, he’s about to be returned to AAA in exchange for Saarloos.

So I just noticed that Ohka took LaPorta’s number… that’s not very nice.
