They're back
Just in time for the Yankees series, I noticed a fresh batch of midges in the city last night/this morning. Be prepared to watch the Justin clip from 07 a few times tonight.

It’s not a coincidence. The club said Hafner was in town for batting practice earlier in the week, but I heard he was seen at Midges N Things with Antonetti’s credit card.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA Pretty sure this game made me an Indians fan. Yankee fail.

Do the seagulls eat bugs? It’s going to be an epic battlefield if that occurs.

This may explain Fausto’s wildness — he’s seeing spots.

His last good start.
I miss you, 07 Fausto.

Calling that start “good” does a disservice to the English language.
It was freaking epic.

Beyond absurd. You could see the movement on his pitches from the fourth last row of the upper deck. Striking out A-Rod was one of the most exciting moments I’ve ever seen live.

I think I read on wikipedia that it’s legally Joba, so, you know.

What are you, a cop?
No, not you. Your helmet!

Seems like you have a “newbie moment” about once every 45 days. How long till you’re broken in, son?
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

It’s just how I roll, Jay. I’m anti-meme.

Pretty sure the first sentence contradicts the second.
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

…maybe. If you’re referring to the anchorman thing. Although I can claim ignorance: that saying has become ubiquitous to the point of not being esoteric among really any young person. It’s so pan-accepted that, I’d say, it’s more legit part of lexicon than a particularly robust piece of quotage.

I’m pretty sure they are muffleheads this time of year.

Yes. They seem to always hit around the end of May.
According to people that know stuff, they are a sign of healthy water and lakes. Which is a good sign for the water around Cleveland.

I just rode my bike down to the park to pick up some tickets for tomorrow. In addition to midges, there are scalpers from New York in Yankees gear swarming the area around the stadium. I haggled with a guy wearing the filthiest New York hat I’ve ever seen and some killer orange sweatpants who told me they’d rented a 15 passenger van to get here. I bought from the window as I didn’t need marked up tickets to a non-sellout and wouldn’t want to hand money over to a Yankees fan no matter how much he needs a new cap. There’s no reason to scalp for this series, but if you do, support your local scalpers, you know, the one’s in filthy Cavs gear.
No, not you. Your helmet!

Add 10 years, 30 pounds, a couple more holes and yes, I do believe it was.

Hard to think of anything more satisfying than exiting this weekend on a 7-game win streak and an improbably chance to get back into contention.

INDIANS (21-28): SS Asdrubal Cabrera, DH Grady Sizemore, 1B Victor Martinez, 3B Jhonny Peralta, LF Mark DeRosa, RF Ben Francisco, 2B Jamey Carroll, C Kelly Shoppach, CF Trevor Crowe. LHP Cliff Lee (2-5, 3.04).
Choo off, makes sense with lefty starter and recent slump.

So Grady’s elbow means Crowe’s bat instead of Garko’s bat in the lineup.

Maybe we should get Gark behind the plate again.

It’s a sad day when you pine for Ryan Garko.
