Fire Wedge!
An interesting perspective, very Jonathan Swift-esque.

In six of the past 10 years, the team’s winning percentage in the month of May has approximated the club’s final record more than any other month.

I am so weary from this type of analysis. A month is an arbitrary designation of time, and looking for multi-year trends over a roster that shifts personnel every year — every month in fact — is just silly.
Why not study the Zodiac instead? How do the Indians do during the sign of Leo? What about when Mercury is in retrograde?
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Meant as witty followup to Mercury in retrograde above. All wittiness leached by hitting wrong reply button.

I agree it is arbitrary analysis. However, I do find it interesting, because at 10-17 I need something to provide me with a glimmer of hope that April didn’t mean squat and better days could be ahead.
Come on Wedge, ride the bull of Taurus to victory!
