Tribe Bullpen T-Shirt
I don't know what kind of person would buy this but, well, it seemed worth linking.

There’s another one with a big upward arrow that says “Wedge Bullpen Option” or something.
I don’t know who the target audience is. People who hate the Indians but live amongst hardcore Indians fans?
Indians fans who love the ironic nature of ironic t-shirts?
I get the sentiment, but the art is really awful.

You can get ironic t-shirts about the Indians that aren’t just ripping on the team for sucking.
I mean, where do you even wear this t-shirt? Just around, with the hopes of angering non-hipster fans? Or do you actually wear this to the park?
A Tigers game? Nah, they probably wouldn’t get it.

I think we’re overanalyzing a bit. I wouldn’t buy it, but I chuckled. I like some of their other stuff. Good blog content, too.

Yeah, I mean it’s sort of funny, like if it was a graphic that they posted on the blog. I just can’t get over the fact that anyone would actually buy it.
But, I guess with these online t-shirt vendors you don’t actually have a sunk cost, right?
No. I can make up to seven bucks a shirt at my store. It’s more of a side project to a freelance advertising agency thing, so I’m using it to generate lunch money,
Disclaimer: I’ve sold 1 shirt in over a month. Then again, I haven’t really advertised the products.

The quality of the product at Skreened makes it a perfect place to sell a shirt about the 2009 Tribe Bullpen. Because who doesn’t want to commemorate the intense Columbus Crew-Chicago Fire rivalry with ethically made cotton apparel?
I like the “ethically made” description of the t-shirts. When you make a shirt that says “Piss on the Fire” it’s very important to be ethical.

As a long-time fan of the Crew who has attended many games at Crew Stadium (and before that at Ohio Stadium), I heartily approve both the sentiment and the ethics of that T-shirt.

Agreed. Was just going to say that while MLS isn’t exactly MLB in terms of fan interest, the Crew-Fire rivalry is pretty intense. One of the great moments of my life as a sports fan came at the Eastern Conference final last year when Chad Marshall scored over Brian McBride.
I (and about 20,000 other folks in attendance) went completely ape-poopy.
