Just saying it took like ten minutes for me to find this because it isn’t where it normally is. I don’t like change.

Yeah.. I have no idea why it was posted like this, either.

Well, if the Indians win, it may very well be worth it. If they lose, then I never posted this link and this chat never happened.

You can never have too much Indians paraphernalia.
Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?
I like the word y’all, but not heavy southern accents, does that make me weird?
Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.
No. I like both except when you can’t understand the southern accents and they sound dumb.
Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?
I guess that’s more prevalent where you’re from perhaps? In Ohio if you have a heavy accent you seem to automatically sound dumb.
Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.
Well in St. Louis it may be the same thing but I think I’ve just probably heard more a variety of southern accents at Clemson so I have comparisons.
Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?
Ah yes, that makes total sense. I’ve never really run into too many accents. I knew a girl from Texas absolutely no accent but did say y’all. It was kind of fun, she couldn’t control it.
Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.
Sowers also getting the ground balls. Also good sign for Sowers.

I was trying to make a parody joke because Greinke is usually considered a much better pitcher than Sowers. Parallel lines, of course, will never meet, and neither will their ERAs.

Oh I get it now. Hyperbolas also never get there they just get eternally closer.

Greinke is usually considered a much better pitcher than Sowers.
I think you can go ahead and avoid hedging your bets and just assume fact is everyone thinks he is.
Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.
I don’t. Jeremy is like 100 times better. Come on guys.
Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?
I realized why I don’t like Greinke… he doesn’t follow the “i” before “e” rule.
Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.
probably the same way as the word Spöde…

the “oe” is sort of like the vowel in oeuf in French. Does that help?

No it is actually pronounced Spaydie by the crazy Germans in St. Louis.
Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?
well, the “ay” isn’t that far off… the “ie” at the end is a little much… could have made “spay-duh”

Yeah. The larger question for us is, in what context? Are we using him to caulk a hole or to get ready for next season?
by fleerdon on Jun 11, 2009 8:45 PM EDT up reply actions
Right. We’d get a lot more in return for him if we didn’t demand 2009 talent, but if we weren’t demanding 2009 talent…
You can finish that sentence, I guess.
by fleerdon on Jun 11, 2009 8:47 PM EDT up reply actions
this obviously depends on when he’s traded. As soon as the Indians surrender the season, they’ll be looking to trade him for the best 2010 help they can get, even if it’s not someone ready in 2009.

If we do tank the season, we can get a boatload for these relievers. Herges, Aquino, Raffy B, Vizcaino…they keep pitching like this and playoff-bound teams will be lining up for them.
by supermarioelia on Jun 11, 2009 8:51 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah I have no idea. Is it common to have 1-year rentals pitch this well for non-playoff teams? And what do teams do with these guys?
by supermarioelia on Jun 11, 2009 8:54 PM EDT up reply actions
K, but what if pay for Herges contract the rest of the season, and his supply of long-sleeve shirts for the rest of the year. Do they throw in an extra prospect?
by supermarioelia on Jun 11, 2009 8:56 PM EDT up reply actions
You’re joking, but at some point, even in a throwaway season, these guys may have more value to us than we’d get by trading them. SOMEBODY has to pitch.
