I'm making the trek out to Chicago this weekend with some friends for the Indians - Cubs series. I know there are a lot of Chicagoland residents on LGT, any recommendations for pre-game/post-game spots? I seem to remember the Cubby Bear being the Browns Backer bar in the Wrigleyville area, will that Cleveland theme translate over to the series this weekend?

I know Saturday after the game there will be some Tribe fans at Sheffield’s (as mentioned on the Diatribe) which is just a couple blocks south of Wrigley.

Aside from that Casey Moran’s is one of my favorites as well as the Yard because they both have open air areas in the back.

Food wise there are good spots everywhere with your typical sports bar food but Risque Cafe has some good BBQ options as well as deep fried bacon.

Yeah, not trying to assert my own agenda here, but I’ll be at Sheffield’s after the game tomorrow and maybe even tomorrow to meet the Bricks (sorry, that should be bricks).

I’ll be going to all 3 and using Sheffield’s as home base starting Friday at noon. And will be playing it somewhat by ear for after the games each day.

I’m a a-hole beer snob and an anti-cub fan douchebar snob, so I’ll only be found at any of Sheffield’s, Risque, Gingerman, and Goose.

This is a good way to live life, regardless of whether you actually live in Chicago or not
