So, we're losing.  Not badly, but in an aggravating way nonetheless.

Apparently we’re watching someone’s TV and apparently they wanted to watch the Belmont during the commercial break.

Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?

*ratio

Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.

by USSChoo on Jun 6, 2009 6:31 PM EDT up reply actions

Don’t everyone get excited at once, but we have DeRosa, Crowe and ValGood to face Jenks in the 9th. Yay.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

I’m excited.

Pumped.

by USSChoo on Jun 6, 2009 6:34 PM EDT up reply actions

Hammy failed to provide the relevant Westbrook stat … 5 groundball outs.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Jun 6, 2009 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

what was the final line?

Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.

by USSChoo on Jun 6, 2009 6:34 PM EDT up reply actions

3.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K

Hit was a liner single to left.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Jun 6, 2009 6:35 PM EDT up reply actions

I’ll take that.

Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.

by USSChoo on Jun 6, 2009 6:36 PM EDT up reply actions

So it was 1 strikeout, 5 groundouts, 3 flyouts, 1 hit, 1 walk.

Also gave up a base on a wild pitch.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I don’t know. It’s weird.

Yeah. Should have answered my own question with “Not well.”

Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?

by ClemsonGirl on Jun 6, 2009 6:40 PM EDT up reply actions

We’re doing this. I’m feeling doubles from DeRosa and Crowe.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:38 PM EDT reply actions

yup, followed by three straight strikeouts

by Logodaedalus on Jun 6, 2009 6:39 PM EDT up reply actions

We’re still down 1 by 1if that happens. We need more.

Can anyone explain why Jeff Conine had such a long major league career?

A few days ago I said I like beards. NOT THAT ONE.

by Julie on Jun 6, 2009 6:43 PM EDT reply actions

I sincerely hope no one on here tries to convince me that this is an acceptable beard.

I can’t see him today, but anthing on his face isn’t right.

Wedge likes grinders who hit into DPs in clutch situations.

by jayme on Jun 6, 2009 6:51 PM EDT up reply actions

Better question, why wan’t DeRosa running, given that they weren’t holding him?

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Jun 6, 2009 7:21 PM EDT up reply actions

I thought that was going through the hole to the left side….not sure why they were shading him that way.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:46 PM EDT reply actions

Oh my god ump. Terrible all day.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:46 PM EDT reply actions

called third strike in the fucking dirt

FE WEE

by westbrook on Jun 6, 2009 6:47 PM EDT reply actions

so… how many of those pitches by Jenks were actually strikes?

by Logodaedalus on Jun 6, 2009 6:47 PM EDT reply actions

Tricked gameday too by the looks of it.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:47 PM EDT reply actions

This umpire has to have one of the worst strikezones ever.

Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?

by ClemsonGirl on Jun 6, 2009 6:47 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah that was epically bad both ways all day. I know they ask for consistency, but consistently ginormous is kind of annoying.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:48 PM EDT up reply actions

Something kind of pathetic about Crowe grounding into a double play… don’t some think he’s the fastest player in the American League? I’d just as soon as see him try and bunt his way on when he got to 2 strikes.

by cheech99 on Jun 6, 2009 6:49 PM EDT reply actions

He’s THAT fast? Hmm. Not doubting, just didn’t know.

Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.

by USSChoo on Jun 6, 2009 6:54 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah he’s pretty fast.

Who needs affection when you can have blind hatred?

by ClemsonGirl on Jun 6, 2009 6:55 PM EDT up reply actions

Doesn’t have to be that fast, the bunt rarely becomes a DP, that’s the point.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

by Jay on Jun 6, 2009 7:21 PM EDT up reply actions

No I meant fast enough to be the fastest in the AL, even though we don’t agree on Back to the Future 2, I do grasp bunting haha.

Shin-Soo Choo, future U.S. Citizen.

by USSChoo on Jun 6, 2009 11:06 PM EDT up reply actions

Fausto should start a game if this the HP umpire. I am certain he would be awesome, like a complete game shutout awesome or even a no-hitter awesome.

by jayme on Jun 6, 2009 6:49 PM EDT reply actions

Watched the replay again, and Piealiruhewzikski was about to throw the ball back to the mound. I’d say that’s as damning as anything against this ump.

by supermarioelia on Jun 6, 2009 6:52 PM EDT reply actions

hahahaha I don’t know how I’m laughing. This is sad.
