tonight is awesome
A) masterson is starting and i’m excited to see that
B) laporta and marte is in the lineup
these things that point towards the future always make me happy

His judgement cometh and that right soon.
Here Lies the Victor Martinez Era:
Sept. 10, 2002 - July 31, 2009
And so at last the beast fell and the unbelievers rejoiced.
But all was not lost, for from the ash rose a great bird.
The bird gazed down upon the unbelievers and cast fire
and thunder upon them. For the beast had been
reborn with its strength renewed, and the
followers of Mammon cowered in horror.
I'm not really into Song of Hiawatha.
Don’t look, Marion! Keep your eyes shut!

Or you could go with Matthew 7:15 … “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
LaPorta is going to devour opposing pitching.

FSW is interviewing with Bob Feller (I’m 5 minutes behind right now) and Rex Hudler just did a little dance when he laughed that Bob said he’s taking life one day at a time. he’s special.
great.
feller was just on the angels radio feed (i was in the car on the way home). he is awesome, highlights include:
- remembered exact details of his opening day no hitter (‘41)
- remembered exact details of his entire rookie year (’36)
- recounted how he no hit the yankees (tribe won 1-0) and whom he got out in the bottom of the 9th (‘46)
- "i think every young man ought to be willing to defend his country, and if he’s not we don’t want him…he can get out"
- talked about time in the navy
all in all, a cool 5 minutes

Just got here. How does a major league umpire so totally miss that call at the plate? That was egregious. What is it with the Angels that makes umpires miss obvious calls their way?

Evenin’. I see I arrived in time to catch the tail end of the conversation with Alex White. Anything of note?
It was a very paternalistic interview. Nothing of value was shared. And White, having talked to Manning and Underwood, now hates the Indians.
He’s from North Carolina. He was raised that way. He’s not used to Yankee disrespect and familiarity.

OK, now I can say it. I opened this thread during Choo’s at bat leading off the sixth. I take full credit for all the runs, as well as the wildly successful careers of LaPorta and Marte that were just launched.
Also, my first GT in months. Helloooo everybody!

A friend of mine just started law school two days ago. She plans to work full time while doing this. I told her that will last maybe a month.
Don't hassle me, I'm local.

I’m taking the under on a week. This is a bad idea, unless it’s explicitly a night program. I did know a guy a few years ago who went to night school at Akron, and he’s a partner now and a fine attorney.

Betnacourt still hasn’t given up a run in 11 innings. The Rockies might be tempted to pay that option.
That’s five hours without giving up a run!
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
