I think Manning may have run into one … said something insightful or at least correct.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Said that Carroll figured out that they expect him to hit it to RF, so they had the shortstop covering the bag, so Carroll hit a regular old grounder straight at where the shortstop normally would be.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

this is similar to the asdrubal thing

by Brick. on Aug 26, 2009 4:14 PM EDT up reply actions

i’m still having trouble with when he ran into one about asdrubal’s bunt-pull-back-double.

by Brick. on Aug 26, 2009 4:13 PM EDT up reply actions

He was so so happy about that one.

by dgcambridge on Aug 26, 2009 4:16 PM EDT up reply actions

i was too, actually. i loved the way he interrupted himself to say “now, Asdrubal can do this!” and then bam…before he could finish the whole explanation.

Are we tired of this phrase/“joke” yet?

Good piece of hitting, kind of. Guess it wasn’t a drive, though.

Just wondering what words are considered profanity. Obviously you don’t have to say but you could give hints or something. I just don’t know how far is too far I guess. I also probably don’t have too much to worry about since I usually don’t say those words.

You know, we really did our very best to be worse than the Royals this year, but despite our best efforts, it just didn’t happen. Same for the Reds.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

IMO, he is. He’s frustrating too, but at least you know he’s gonna be shaky from the get go. As opposed to 3-4 perfect innings before imploding…

I like watching him struggle it out a little. Next year we’ll know more what he’s made of

Just want to make a quick comment for those who were in the Game Thread earlier. Some of our regular commenters went not only beyond Game Thread etiquette, but beyond the threshold of propriety for a family site, and for a site that really respects and values all of its contributors. Not only has the material been deleted, but each individual involved has been contacted and some minor but appropriate action was taken.

I only bring this up so that those who may have been offended or just really turned off by that material will know that it was dealt with, and that we are committed to maintaining certain standards. I have no wish to embarrass anyone, so that’s all I’m going to say about it publicly. Comments are closed.

Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
