Agree completely. Looking at the state of their rotation, trading for Victor seems like a really bad move. Their offense would always be good enough to get the job done, assuming they have a rotation that can win games for them. But beyond Beckett and Lester, they’ve got a patchwork of guys who just don’t inspire a lot of confidence.

Now, just imagine if Masterson moves into our rotation and pitches well…

Honestly, I think they should have made the Victor deal and the Halladay deal. They had the firepower to get that done, easily.

I get so tired of checking in on these threads and all you see is Sox-Yankee bashing. Doesn’t anyone want to talk baseball? Very few comments on the logistics of the trade, just ‘roids. Stupid!
